GA and NC saying NO to Gitmo detainees!

Unlike Pennsylvania Democrat Rep. John Murtha, not every elected official wants terrorists in their particular district and backyard.

In the wake of the executive order mandating the closure of the detainee facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba and transfer of the detainees, the order signed by President Barack Obama within hours of his inauguration and without further plan as to the fate of the detainees themselves, individual states are taking matters into their own hands to ensure that their respective constituencies remain detainee-free.

I’ve narrowed down a few good locations to build prisons for the Gitmo detainees...

1. Evanston Illinois

2. Wilmington Delaware

3. Boston Massachusetts

4. Portland Oregon

5. Boulder Colorado

6. Palm Beach Florida

I’m taking suggestions for additional locations...

I'm in Georgia and I volunteer to take care of Gitmo detainees. Just put them in the back yard and they'll be fine. Honest.

If they're not there tomorrow, they must have escaped. They must have taken my shovel too.

Move ‘em into 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Giv ‘em keys so they can come and go as they need to. They’ll be ok there.

Maybe they can stay at Zero's Chicago home, now not in use and with a secure gate in place. Maybe in the vacant lot next door, Zero can build them a mosque with one of those loud speaker systems for calling to prayers, six times a day. Seems cheap and I'm sure the Mayor would welcome them as equals, given their similar love of America.

Maybe the former IL Governor could get a job there to cook and do their laundry, clean-up after them and "smile them all to death".

Maybe Zero can also lease it to the government for some extra chump change.

Great picture! I hope it works for Chicago and Zero and his family.

California will take them although the price will be quite high: $40 billion this year and whatever it takes to balance the budget in the following years.

Maricopa Sheriff Joe Arpaio has offered to take them. They’d look great in pink undies.

1. Brooklyn and Manhattan in New York.

2. Marin County, CA.

3. San Diego, CA (but them between the douchy locals and some angry marines).

4. Seattle, WA

5. Minneapolis, MN

LOL

I was thinking Shema AK - an old air base there.

And they won’t be wandering off...

The Kennedy compound in Massachusetts, I’m sure fat Teddy will welcome them with open arms.
