SACRAMENTO -- A special panel of federal judges tentatively ruled Monday that California will have to release tens of thousands of inmates to relieve overcrowding over the next several years.
The judges said no other solution will improve conditions so poor that inmates die regularly of suicides or lack of proper care.
The panel said it wants the state to present a plan to trim its prison population in two to three years.
"There are simply too many prisoners for the existing capacity," they wrote in a 10-page order. "Evidence offered at trial was overwhelmingly to the effect that overcrowding is the primary cause of the unconstitutional conditions that have been found to exist in the California prisons."

I could turn this into a War on Drugs thread, but why bother.
R.I.P. California. A tragic loss.
We should simply try and hang these judges once the revolution occurs.
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!
Send them to San Francisco. :) These crooks will get a warm welcome from a non judgmental city. :D
Wonderful! If they turn them loose perhaps there will be room for the law abiding people to move into the former prisons for protection?
But ... We need more laws so we can have more criminals.
How else can we control the prople?

How about sending the illegal alien prisoners back to their country of origin rather than release them to the street as is often done now?
>>Huh???<<
Caali has a history of wanting things and not doing what they have to do to support it, They consume more energy than China but they won’t allow refineries or new power plants.
Its not surprising they would want criminals off the street but not want to spend enough to keep them alive in prison.
Texas is tough on crime and has comparable illegal immigration problems and is less wealthy than California but they seem to manage.

That would greatly improve the safety rating (no gang activity). That would probably push up the suicide rate, but who cares?
Lets place these judges and our state legislature in the prisons!
