“Way to stand up for your constituents, you coward! “

Oh come on. Mitch did everything he could have done. To try and use procedural stuff now

1. Won’t work
2. Makes the Repubs look bad

Better to let the damn thing pass and then blame everything on it later.

But Mitch better make sure that the 3 rats are punished and that no other Repubs jump ship.

We have been flooding email, phone and fax lines. They are not listening to us. By the time we are able to get anyone to actually listen to us it will be illegal for us to speak up. Heil Hitler.... I mean hope and change!

McConnell does not seem to know how to play hardball.

And only about 1/3 of Americans were solidly for the Revolution.

All November 4 proved was the warp-10 stupidity of the American electorate.

I can’t imagine that anyone is that politically stupid!

What could they possibly say they were thinking if they vote for this bill now. It would negate anything they tried to stand for.

I refuse to believe they would do that but then I’ve been disappointed every hour on the hour since the beast got elected.

My mail to Mitch:

Mr. McConnell,

With regard to the following quote,

“U.S. Senate Republicans are not planning to try and use procedural maneuvers to delay passage of a proposed $789 billion economic stimulus bill, the party’s leader in the Senate, Mitch McConnell, said on Wednesday.

McConnell said there was a widespread feeling in the minority party that they “ought to vote and move on.” He spoke after congressional negotiators said they had reached a deal on the massive package of spending and tax cuts to try and rescue the flailing economy.”

Sir, saddling our children and grandchildren with this kind of debt — pushed through by cutthroat Democrats and 3 idiots who must think the “R” by their name stands for “Retreat” is nothing short of criminal. As a vocal and enthusiastic supporter of yours, I would consider it nothing short of dereliction of duty for you to do anything other than use EVERY means you have to stop or delay this nefarious bill.

Elections in 2010 and beyond will be won or lost based on the way you act this week. Prior to the ridiculous statement above, you’ve shown some backbone this week. Don’t go soft now.

Get in there and fight for us. Do your job.

Whatever action you choose, we won’t forget. And you’re too young to retire.

Very truly yours,

kimmie7

No country for ‘moderate’ old men.

For sure it's no time for moderate old men. People need to get angry. Instead, most folks I talk to are merely sad and resigned, passive, dispirited...defeated.

They cannot block it. Hussein and the Socialists have won.

The last gasp will be the 2010 elections. Democrats will sweep out any remaining conservatives—Hussein’s war chest will guarantee the Soviet-style government that will be ours.

By the time a few of his worshipers are convinced he is not the Chosen One, it’ll be too late.

Goodbye, Republic.

The only place I was able to leave a message was at Snowe’s DC office. I know it won't help but it made me feel better. (Gosh I hope I'm not turning into a lib with excess feelings)

“”The republican party isn’t going to get back in power, billions to acorn will see to that.””

That’s certainly their agenda and priority. Just ruminating here - what if we don’t put up any opposition in the next congressional races? They want one party rule - why not let them have it? The rest of us can stop working, paying taxes and start taking their money!! Hearty laugh!

They will become the “one party” BECAUSE of their handouts -so who pays their bills then? Twisted thinking I know but I am so tired of our elected officials not caring enough to continue fighting - go down fighting if necessary! We would respect them more in the morning. As it is now, we see the Republicans venting and yelling but can we trust that they are really THAT outraged?

It’s not good (or healthy) to get so cynical but we’re all tired of this game.

He is right; Mitch did block as best he could when it made a difference. This should be laid at the feet of Hussein, Reid, Pelosi and the three RINOs. I detest them all. They are responsible for the coming catastrophe, not Mitch.

“”Zero will call for an even bigger stimulus package””

They’ve already announced another one is in the wings. Can the democrats be dumb/stupid/blind/deaf/ignorant enough to show their faces on the floor of the House or the Senate and give speeches about the necessity for more???? I think I know the answer to my own question.

Frustrated ole buddy? Mitch is an astute parliamentarian. Far better than he is being given credit for presently. That said, the more people find out about the evil in this bill the angrier they will become. So a delaying action seems appropriate. Yet we are not delaying it as best we can. Must be a reason. And don't forget that we have only lost three votes in the Senate out of all the pubbies in congress. Not a bad record. Keeping pubbies together is like herding cats.
