Rare photo of the end of the rainbow
We received several storm photographs from readers Saturday, including one that depicted something thats very, very rarely seen, especially in Southern California the end of the rainbow. A reader, who has finally been identified as Jason Erdkamp of Lake Forest, took this photo while traveling north on the 241 Tollroad in northeast Orange County.

The pot of gold is no doubt in the back seat of the SUV speeding away in the distance.

Yupers...SO appropo! I can see him running as a rat in 2010. THen again I think today is his 79th birthday so who knows if he'll be able to campaign.
I phoned in again yesterday to both Arlen and Casey. Basically I got the impression they could care less what the phones are running. THey figure they're (Ratz and RINOS) in the driver's seat and conservatives can shove it.

Saw the end of a rainbow only once. It was in Colorado in a valley near a pond full of beaver dams. Those dam builders probably snatched the pot of gold and stashed it in one of their lodges because we didn’t find it.
Seeing the end of the rainbow in a mountain setting was pretty cool.

That’s 0 taking off for the weekend (it’s Thursday, he’s tired and bored with the White house)

I drove through the end of a rainbow once. For just a moment the air seemed to be slightly yellow. I figured that that was where the tales of gold at the end of the rainbow came from.

Gosh I hate to rain on everyone’s parade, but this is the BEGINNING of the rainbow. Life moves from left to right, people. The end of the rainbow would be from left to right. Wake up, smell the roses.
Besides that, if there's a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow then it simply has to be at The Right.
Geesh!

I thought this would be *good* news and then I find out the end of the rainbow is on a Tollroad!

A rainbow is an optical effect; as you approach it, it “moves.” I’m not sure how you could possibly “catch” one to drive through the end. That’s where the legend of the pot of gold comes from: it’s illusory.
