It's almost like a miracle, isn't it?

Nope, not even close. It would have been a miracle if the raw elements of the universe did not evolve into life given the conditions we know to have existed.

“The scientific method does not include the use of polls as proof of a theory.”

Except when the evos say, “there’s a scientific consensus on evolution.”

Consensus is a euphemism for “can’t be tested and shown to be true”.

“there’s a scientific consensus on evolution.”

Who said this? Please provide a link that shows the context of this being said.

I am tired of these Keith Olbermann type half truths creeping into the debates about evolution. Since when did it become okay for conservatives to use the tactics of the liberal left?

anti-science folks are almost as good at playing the victim card as Liberals

Don't you guys ever get tired of this old straw man.

No one here is anti-science, it is always about junk science, declared to be real science.

Many science fields are bought and sold to the highest bidder, either directly or through grants. Many so called Scientist propagate these threads, getting all offended by the luddites that point out their inanities.

Scientists can and does lie, either to support their agenda, or for money.
Anyone that can show that this never happens, be my guest.

If we know the conditions that existed I guess it won't be long until those conditions are duplicated in a lab somewhere and we will have some new life forms created by man. No extraterrestrial deity needed if it just takes some scientists, primordial goop and energy.

Maybe they could brew up some carrier pigeons - I would like to see them come back.

That will probably happen right after they figure out how to make an efficient alternative fuel to replace petroleum - one that doesn't take more energy to produce than it makes.

The scientific method does not include the use of polls as proof of a theory.

That's why Creationists use the Community Organizing method.

I actually agree that science goes to the highest bidder, I see it all the time

I just get sick of people trying to use the Bible as a science text. By all means, let’s line up evolution and Genesis side by side and see which is better supported by the evidence. It will take all of about 2 seconds and then we can move on.

How would you feel if someone said “my kid’s science class does not mention that lightening is actually Zeus throwing bolts from Mt Olympus, so my theory needs equal treatment” ?
