NPR embarrassed by Juan Williams (on Fox), taxpayers embarrassed by NPR

NPR is supposed to stand for National Public Radio. But based on their latest flap with liberal commentator Juan Williams, the initials seem to stand for No Public Relations.

“Last year,” said Alicia Shepard, an NPR ombudsman, “378 listeners emailed me complaints and frustrations about things Williams said on Fox. The listener themes are similar: Williams ‘dishonors NPR.’ He’s an ‘embarrassment to NPR.’ NPR should severe their relationship with him.’”

Ellen Weiss, Vice President of News at NPR, is so concerned about it that she “has asked Williams to ask that Fox remove his NPR identification whenever he is on O’Reilly.”

So now the commissars are targeting “class traitors”.

Wonderful.

Americans are just as clumsy at socialism as the Russkies!

Wow! Juan Williams, a bonafide liberal, is too conservative for NPR! That means NPR is so far to the left it is over the horizon.

No doubt this results from the fact that during the primaries Juan’s commentaries on such matters as the One and the Reverend Wright were among the best work he has done.

He will now learn that there is no forgiveness for those who refuse to embrace Islam and who will speak the truth.

Williams has also become more seasoned, more thinking, less knee-jerk leftist than he was in his original days on NPR. He is a grownup now and not a spoiled child of the left.

378..that’s a rather small amount. Hannity is friends with Williams. He should call for all of his viewers and listeners to email their support for Williams.

Interesting fact , after hearing Chris Plante spar with Bill Press over the “Fairness Doctrine” revival. Press was whining about the “overwhelming Conservative control” of Talk Radio and refused to include the overwhelming liberal control of all other media (TV, FM, Print, etc.). What a Maroon!

NPR = Communists.

They just read the news like bored snobs, but they still repeat the some old Communist propaganda.

Who could take offense at Juan Williams? He’s too boring to be offensive. Never once heard an interesting thought from that guy.

Every so often Juan turns into a rabid, frothing at the mouth lunatic liberal on Fox. It never fails that NPR is yanking his chain, threatening to get rid of him. He’s been raving, screwy, loony left the last couple of weeks, and this explains why.

Yeah - we would go along w/ the fairness doctrine if it applied to all sources of media - newspapers, TV, movies, government owned radio, etc. The F-D actually might neutralize NPR

While I’m mad about being forced to for NPR, I like the way they do their reporting: Low key, in depth, interesting stories (Yes I know it’s very biased, but you can learn a lot by reading between their lines).

I really wish there was a conservative version of NPR.

A perfect project for Cavuto.
