As high as 50% according to some studies. It is folly to think it will not happen. BTW there is very good evidence that the 0 security forces will be equipped and trained by contractors. Contractors will use Russian and other mercs who have no compunction about shooting Americans. One of the reasons to ramp the war in Afcrapistan is to keep the military occupied and out of country.

Remember it took 130,000 troops to suppress Iraq, a country the size of Texas ans with the population of Kalifornia.

It would depend. I dont think the National Guard would. Most USMC units wouldnt.
If Obama allows people from other countries to join, then that would be where the biggest problem would be. Or he could bring in NATO or UN troops to “secure” the Nuclear weapons or some other excuse.
UN and NATO would face the largest standing army, since there area lotsa of guns here, and people who are just looking for a reason to use them.

A questin I have pondered. Who would follow the orders of Hussein Obama to kill their fellow countrymen?? Time will tell—option 2 that has occurred based on the historical record, is to turn on obama and exercise the right of citizens to dispose of corrupt, tyrannical government—a duty and a right of every citizen. I would much prefer a military coup led by honorable men in uniform than having to follow a fool such as the current reigning Hussein. He is stealing our children’s future with this so-called stimulus con—this is tyranny.

I think it’s in the Constitution that the military cannot be used against US citizens ... plus we’re not like some Third World country - our soldiers would not fire on civilians (Kent State not withstanding). Cops maybe .....

The Bonus Army,, some 15,000 to 20,000 World War I veterans from across the country, marched on the Capitol in June 1932 to request early payment of cash bonuses due to them in 1945. The Great Depression had destroyed the economy, leaving many veterans jobless.

You know, I had pondered the same thing. One of our Trooper friends was here a few weeks ago and it got me to thinking on this subject. I know that the people I know in military are OK of course,and we have friends and family in the state police and city police within our state. I have concluded that none of them would carry out unconstitutional orders against We The People. It is the Black Liberation Police Force Obama wants, and has evidently gotten ONE BILLION dollars in Porkulus for, that concerns me. They hate whitey. They will delight in taking us out.

Remember the Bonus March. WWI vets did a peaceful march on DC to ask for some of their veterans benefits and the calvery and gas was used against them. Soldiers follow orders. Tiena-men Square the soldiers were unknowingly doped up making it possible for them to slaughter tens of thousands of their own. But, I hope that there are soldiers capable of going against their commander in chief. However I agree with the post that UN troops will be used against us. Take note of the droves of illegal chinese and others entering our country

Depends on the circumstances.

As far as crowd control, it’s certainly possible. I mean if a bunch of people with torches and pitchforks were headed towards the state capitol, there WOULD be some shooting.

I don’t think the military could be persuaded to go door-to-door to say, confiscate weapons or gold or food.

But who knows?

If you are ordered to shoot or you will ‘be shot’ for disobeying orders from a superior officer, what would YOU do? Most people would follow the damned orders out of sheer self-preservation.

Depends entirely on the circumstances and what the military personnel are told by their higher ups. If the circumstances seem extreme enough and they’re convinced it’s necessary to secure stability or protect themselves or whatever, then probably a lot more than you think.
