LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) -- The FBI has issued an alert to 350 law enforcement agencies in the southwest and Salt Lake City for potential Valentine teddy bear bombs after a suspicious transaction at a Wal-Mart last month.

Law enforcement sources said authorities also were on the alert at airports in case the suspected bear-bombs might be carried onto airplanes on Valentine's Day.

The FBI said a clean-shaven male, possibly of Middle Eastern descent, purchased nine Valentine teddy bears, 20 inches tall, and 14 canisters of propane, 9 inches tall, small enough to fit inside the teddy bears. The man also bought 12 packets of BBs -- small, round projectiles usually fired from air guns.

He paid in cash on January 15 at the Wal-Mart in

And this last week especially on Speed Channel I have seen nothing but commercials about those Vermont Teddy Bears, I think its going to blow up in their faces quite literally.

Of course its the Islamic intellect, they only think of media inspired images like WTC etc.

The sooner we accept the real fact that Islamic genocide is NOT out of the question the sooner we can deal with them.

There goes Wal-Mart Racially profiling against the “ROP” again...

About time for a multi-billion dollar lawsuit from CAIR isn’t it? - That’ll straighten them out! /s

I wonder if the bears have a little string you pull that’ll make them say “Islam is the light”?

Then again they just might holler “Allahu Achbar!” - *KA-BOOM*!!!

Why are they still trying to blow us up?

Didn’t Osama say that he would bring America down financially, not tactically?

Personally, I can’t but wonder if he and Barry Soetoro aren’t working on the same agenda... and it’s working like a charm.

...possibly of Middle Eastern descent...

One can assume that this is the case...just by understanding the nature of the threat.

I'm so glad they included the explanation. I would not have known what those small round projectiles were called.

Nuts & bolts-- cylindrical objects, small, 1-3 three inches in length with various diameters usually projected from ARAB TERRORIST bombs with great speed and destructive power.

Have been known to be used in various construction projects.

I’ve never heard any follow-up to the story shortly after 9/11, of a family who was stopped at airport security screening because the Xray detected a small gun inside a teddy bear carried by their small child. The family was cleared quickly, after telling investigators that the bear had been given to their child as a last-minute going away gift by another young child who’d been staying at the same hotel and playing with their child. Apparently that story, as well as the stopped family’s background, checked out solidly, plus they’d made no attempt at all to avoid having the bear screened, and the gun was plainly visible. But I’ve never heard of investigators ever located the gift-giver and what the rest of the story was. Anybody ever hear any more about that?
