“The English sub was driving on the wrong side of the ocean again.”

Thanks for the only laugh I got all day. We do need them.

If you build a boat on flat building ways (railroad-like massive track systems linked with a floating drydock or lift system) rather than the old-style sloped ways, then you don’t “launch” the boat and send it sliding backwards into the water.

You “roll it out” instead of “launching.”

Each could be armed with 16 missiles. Even our boats leave port at time without a full load.

That is cute. I guess they are just trying to draw you in. I am reaching the time in life where an infinitely blinking turn signal is a possibility...on my own car! Dang I hate getting old. :D)

“As an aside, the jokes on this thread a beneath contempt.”

I agree! Those that have served aboard the boats generally don’t find things like this to be very funny.

I should’ve put a /s tag in there. My dad used to launch submarines. He says that “rollout” takes all the fun out of it.

??? You obviously have never been to sea, or know anything about sailors if you think any mishap at sea is humorous.

Not you—I’m the one who needs the tinfoil!!

Too many pirates, undersea cables being cut types of terrorism nowadays—sure, they tell us these two subs were in stealth mode and couldn’t “see” each other, but c’mon!

Sometimes I wonder what we aren’t being told, you know—the truth...

:-)
