Coin stores are among the few right wing hangouts in the Bay Area.

A lot of coin collectors own guns and a lot of gun owners collect coins. Both groups tend to share the belief that people should have the right to defend themselves and what they own and that money ought to actually be worth something. Both groups also tend to detest LBJ, who debased the coinage in 1965 and debased the second amendment in 1968.

If I were planning a heist, a coin store would be about the last place I'd rob. Their security tends to be better than the average bank and many if not most have on site armed security in the person of the owner.
