I hope Waxman knows he is in for a lot of opposition from ALL corners of the internet.
May he have many bad days.

Sigh. I wish that would work in this day. Unfortunately, this country now consists of people who voted this administration into office of their own free will. They don’t care about individual liberty. They care more about global warming, controlling the religious right and American Idol.

When Waxman was born, the doctor spanked the wrong end.

In the story, “The Picture of Dorian Grey”, Waxman is the picture.

Drunk with power and fixing to wrap the bureaucratic Buick around the good old American oak tree.I thought it was drunk with power and fixing to sink the bureaucratic Oldsmobile into the tidal pond with girl in backseat.
To: MEG33
I have a feeling it’s not going to happen.

I dont think were anywhere near 1933 Germany as a country in that I dont think Obama would ever be able to pull off such wide-sweeping control of the masses, but its a chilling read nonetheless. A major difference: Hitler came to national prominence after the Germans had endured hard times and were desperate for change.
Obama has assumed the presidency just as things are starting to get worse for the average person. If we're lucky, the average person will associate him with the economic changes.

Good point - they had at least a full decade after the end of WW1 for things to get really bad, and you’re right, we’re at the beginning of sorrows.
If we’re lucky indeed. His stimulus will fail, but conservatives et al will likely still get the blame, for not cooperating in bipartisan fashion, or some such nonsense.

“Seriously, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE MORONS?”
Nothing, they are doing exactly what every govt official has ever done when they have no fear of their populace, no morals, and no respect for law.

A friend of mine’s mother was in Cuba when Castro took over. She says Obama is doing the same things.
