Nailed It!

This ping list is not author-specific for articles I'd like to share. Some for the perfect moral clarity, some for provocative thoughts; or simply interesting articles I'd hate to miss myself. (I don't have to agree with the author all 100% to feel the need to share an article.)

I will try not to abuse the ping list and not to annoy you too much, but on some days there is more of the good stuff that is worthy of attention.

You are welcome to browse the list of truly exceptional articles I pinged to lately. Updated on February 10, 2009.  on  my page.
You are welcome in or out, just freepmail me (and note which PING list you are talking about).

Besides this one, I keep 2 separate PING lists for my favorite authors Victor Davis Hanson and Orson Scott Card.

53% already bought the goat.

But very few of them have even thought of selling it, yet. The Obamatrons, or Soetoesuckers, or whatever we call them, are still euphoric.

Obama (now aka Goat-Boy, I guess) has a very good trick up his daishiki. All he has to do is keep paying off his most hardened supporters, so it will take longer and longer for those who do not support him to get rid of the goat.

Since he will be dis-empowering those who do not support him by giving their goods to those who do, it will take even longer to send this goat down the road.

How do you think Fidel managed 50 years of misery?

Being an immigrant from the former USSR — the land of equally redistributed misery — I used to cringe when Americans complained to me about the perceived misery and lack of opportunity under capitalism. I laughed at American homegrown agitators who were carping on behalf of “communities” about the lack of “economic justice.” They sounded like ignorant, spoiled brats who hated their rich parents for giving them the car of the wrong color. The whiners either didn’t realize how good they had it or they were being deliberately misleading. Either way their message was a fraud.

It takes someone who lived under true socialistic communist tyranny to tell the majority of Americans of the danger of the road they are travelling. Is anyone listening?

We have a decent herd. They stay where they belong once they learn the fence (electric) but they do eat. I feed them goat feed, hay and a tree / bush each day. I doubt the environmentalists would like me as I cut down a small tree or bush each day to feed the goats.

So maybe what we need is an electric fence (Republican controlled congress) to make Obama behave? ;-)

The trick, of course, is to get rid of the goat... after all the children have fallen in love with it even though it has metamorphosed into, shall we say, Goatzilla.

This is already old news from late Jan. He began dropping almost immediately when he messed up the oath and immediately started talking about closing Gitmo and changing abortion policy. In another month I’ll be surprised if he’s at 50% approval rating.

“The trick, of course, is to get rid of the goat... after all the children have fallen in love with it ...”

That is a very good analogy, and I afraid may be quite close to the truth.

Right Direction or Wrong Track - 26% Say U.S. is Moving in the Right Direction

49% Trust Themselves More On The Economy Than Obama

Will Welfare 'Unreform' Undo the Dems?

There are a number of reasons already to suspect profound buyer's remorse.

Obama’s aggressive marketing of perceived mass poverty became a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue. It reminds me of the self-fulfilling prophesies of Joseph Goebbels in Nazi Germany. After years of telling Germans the horrors that the communists would do if given the chance, the survivors lived those horrors with the rapes of Soviet troops. Although he had invented those fears for propaganda purposes, they came true nonetheless.

There's a lot of truth in what the Rabbi says about the goat. You do not want this boy in the house! The smell will take your breath away, make your eyes water, and give you the shakes...all at the same time! Besides this, he has some bad habits that we don't have to discuss here. :-)

Pee-U!

Not to make light of our economic situation but we raised a baby goat in the house. They are actually quite smart. She was housetrained just like a dog and went for walks on a leash. The kids and I had a really hard time giving her up once she got to be full grown.
