In three months since Election Day, at least a half-dozen prominent journalists have taken jobs working for the federal government.
Journalists, including some of those who’ve jumped ship, say it’s better to have a solid job in government than a shaky job - or none at all - in an industry that’s fading fast.
But conservative critics answer with a question: Would journalists be making the same career choices if John McCain had beaten Barack Obama in November?
"Obama bails out more media water-carriers," conservative blogger Michelle Malkin wrote upon hearing that the Chicago Tribune’s Jill Zuckman is taking a job with the Obama administration.
Blogs at both the Weekly Standard and the National Review are pointing to a "revolving door" that spins between the media and the Obama administration. And while Brent Bozell, president of the conservative Media Research Center, acknowledges that financial troubles may be forcing reporters out of newsrooms, he thinks it’s worth noting where they’re going.
"When some leave journalism because of a reduction in staff, what’s the natural landing spot?” The Obama administration," Bozell charged. [snip]

Don't like to use heated rhetoric, but here, it's simply true. Over past 50 years, our federal government has incrementally become statist to the point where it's now totalitarian; and most in the MSM are political operatives.
The one campaign plank 2012for Sarah Palin, or another conservative, will hopefully be dismantling Moscow on the Potomac and a return to states' rights.

They’ve been warming up for givernment jobs for years.
Obama mentioned his support from the “Republican” Chicago Tribune during one of the debates. They released the Fitz wiretap info early to prevent any quid pro quo from Obama or his people. Now a couple of people from the Trib are in Washington as part of the Obama administration.....

It isn’t much of a jump, especially when you factor in the stupidity of most all reporters.
I wouldn’t say six is flocking.
Of course, at the rate we’re going the only jobs will be government jobs. :/
Looks like the media is going to get its bailout afterall.
I guess premier obama will make life much simpler by having only one tv station, one radio station and one news media for his ussa to get their daily brain washing. Also, everyone will only have to report to (one) boss which will be the the premier of the new ussa party.
They’re all lining up for Robert Gibbs job.
The media has been in the employ of government bureaucrats for years. Only now they get actual cash for it, not only the access.
Let me get this straight. These “journalists” are jumping ship for a solid job in government under the Obambi administration. It won’t be so solid after we kick out Obambi’s a$$ in 2012. Then what are they going to do?

Can’t start the Federal Media Service without lots of journalists on the taxpayer dole.
