No way, no how.
The Nat Guard doesn’t need this, unless something else is afoot.

Maybe an unofficial spin on their training. Just so happens this is our paintball clubs weekend training event to practice shooting socialist seditious SOB’s who subvert the constitution. Maybe we can road trip to Carroll and interact if the organizers would allow. Good lesson when all those guardsmen knock on doors and get ambushed.
Any good drill has to have aggressor’s.....

"One of the techniques we use in today's political environment is cordon and knock," Kots explained. "We ask for the head of the household, get permission to search, then have them open doors and cupboards. The homeowner maintains control. We peer over their shoulder, and the soldier uses the homeowner's body language and position to protect him.""In tomorrow's political environment, we're going to use a battering ram, flash-bang grenades, and machineguns to conduct our searches."

I wonder if the news would report if 100% of the citizens told them to go to hell?

“It only makes sense to train for it and as long as we send national guard troops to the front lines...”
Are these guys scheduled to deploy any time soon?

Sure I’ll play along. Gimmie a minute to dig out the .308 blanks and a cammo net...

I just about fell out of my chair thinking this was my hometown of Arcadia California, and lo and behold this in Iowa. Whew. I still disagree with it, even if people agree to be part of the exercise. In real life, there won’t be any hesitation when they come for yours and my guns.

I could understand this kind of training happening in base housing, but bringing into the cities of America is chilling and bad precedent.

They won’t. 2/3 will cringe and comply like servile dogs.
The other 1/3 will be marked down as “uncooperative, needs further investigation.”

I think you will find most guard members are more familiar with the constitution than most average citizens.
I know from experience that most Soldiers would be on the side of civilians when it comes to disarming citizens.
Most of them own more guns and understand that if the country is ever disarmed we are doomed.
I know I will never be a part of disarming my countrymen.

"Once credible intelligence has been gathered," said Kots, "portions of the town will be road-blocked and more in-depth searches of homes and vehicles will be conducted in accordance with the residents' wishes. Dude, think it over. You come to my house to do an in depth search and it is not going to go well for you. Please, reconsider. Time is running out to get right with the people.

They try this sort of horsesh** they had better practice their counter-sniper techniques.

"It will be important for us to gain the trust and confidence of the residents of Arcadia," said Kots. "We will need to identify individuals that are willing to assist us in training by allowing us to search their homes and vehicles and to participate in role-playing."
