Sure would be nice if the Republicans had whole staffs of "reporters" on retainer to put out lies smearing the opposition...

This is telling. The MSM is scared stiff of Gov. Palin. They are trying to hobble her image so that she will not be viable in the next national election... even NOW-as early as it is in the new administration... the MSM is working to eliminate her from the next go-around.

They are REALLY scared!

Who didn't see this one coming? The Dems are stinging from the revelations that they really do act like a privileged elite when it comes to taxation. They are doing what they always do - deny, throw up smoke, and make counter-accusations. The old Clinton/Alinsky playbook.

Make no mistake about it - quite a few people in the MSM really do feel that they are running the country and this sort of story is very much a part of that. Palin really got to these guys because she is different enough - rural, Western, populist, very much outside of the current political elite - that they're frightened that should she actually manage to come to office they might have to go back to being journalists, far more so than with the despised but connected Bush. They'll fight that to their last croissant.

What part of the article is lies? If Palin didn’t claim per diem expenses while staying in her own home, as stated in the article, she should refute the article, because so far, Palin said that in fact she did claim the per diem while staying in Wasilla.

At the time of The Post's story, some tax lawyers and liberal groups suggested that Palin's per diem expenses should be treated as income.

Which lawyers? Which liberal groups, Mr. Grimaldi?

Do tell.

Maybe Greta will pick the story up and get some research done on it. She's Sarah's biggest fan in the media, and I, for one, am glad she's willing to help Sarah.
