Does filing put Jesuit schools at risk? (Jesuits filed Chapter 11)

Bankruptcy proceedings started this week by the Jesuits in the Northwest could lead to intense wrangling over the institutions the order is best known for: its schools.

The Society of Jesus, Oregon Province — as the Northwest Jesuits are formally called — filed for Chapter 11 reorganization Tuesday, beset by numerous lawsuits alleging past sexual abuse.

Of course, if any of them actually believed in God they might pray for Saint Ignatius to intercede for them.

Shutting down one province would be good but I won’t be happy until the Pope shuts down the whole rotten commie pervert order.

If the communists who run the SJ see a threat to the power structure they have taken over they may actually try to clean up the mess. This could result in an interesting power struggle within the order. More popcorn please.

There are actually some excellent Jesuits (such as Fr Fessio), but they are marginalized and I honestly don’t know how they manage to hang on in the order. A power struggle would be great because I think the old guard, the raving heretics, would probably lose. Unfortunately, the general superior of their order is in the liberal wing, and he was only recently elected, so I think it would be a difficult battle.

Fessio is a real Catholic. But he has major limitations that make him a non-Messiah.

The Jesuits are as corrupt as any religious community, other than maybe the Legionaries of Christ.

The New England Jesuits had (or have) male hookers who basically made (or make) their living traveling from residence to residence. Look for more Provinces (there are ten in the U.S.) to file for bankruptcy. They all have massive piles of dirty laundry.
