You have to separate political and cultural movements from the religion.
Religions adapt, people put aside past extremism and decide to become civilized. This can even involve ignoring or creatively reinterpreting one’s religious texts. I want to see more of this on the Muslim side. Not because I think it brings them any closer to salvation (which only comes through Christ), but because I don’t like terrorism or barbarism or Islamofascism.
I'm not the one who has to separate these things. Muslims are - and they have shown no inclination to do so. Shall we give them another thousand years, and hope for the best?
