I like Sarah Palin...

Recently, however, my confidence in Governor Palin’s judgment has begun to ebb – most dramatically, this week...

In order to maintain intellectual (and I use that term very broadly) consistency, some of the Obama’s-not-a-natural-born-citizen nuts have adopted a goofy definition of the expression “natural born” that nobody ever heard of until they needed it for their opposition to Obama.

Well, 18 year old Bristol may be an adult, but she’s living like a child in her parents’ house, and they can set any rules and restrictions they see fit. I would think that just mere consideration for the household would cause Bristol to let them know their day would be interrupted with a camera crew, etc.

That is not true, a person can question a qualification without being a troll, and I am sure not one. Knock that off. Talk about the substance of what I said, but knock off the personal attack.

There are different views of what natural born citizen is, and I’ve read a lot about it. I hold the view that it is not merely being born in this country. It is having parents as citizens. You risk division promoting him.

Jindal IS QUALIFIED by his conservatism, his views, his good work. Nothing can change the circumstances of his birth. He is wonderfully qualified for a great many things. But that does not change his citizenship details.
I do not hold the view you hold.

That is fine for you to hold a different view than I do, I got mine by reading through some of the Federalist papers. But you cannot force that down someone else’s throat.

Jindal was born in the U.S. He is a natural born citizen.

"so she doesn't have to put up with her mother's crap anymore and doesn't have to marry the scummy Levi Johnston. Her mother, meanwhile, owes a bundle in back taxes and is much more interested in self-promotion than in playing a positive role in her adult daughter's life."

Huh? Boy you trolls just can't help but out yourselves.

Jindal has been impressive, but as POTUS he is not qualified as a natural born citizen. He may be a citizen but not a natural born citizen.

With all due respect, that's an absurd notion with no basis in fact.

I'm familiar with the argument, thank you. But there is no court in the nation that would uphold it. Nor would any reasonable person remotely familiar with the citizenship laws.

Please, you're smart enough to recognize the assertion is a red herring.

I think that Palin has made some mistakes but when the hounds are after you that is to be expected. The level of hate and disdain expressed by the left for her is enough for me to give her a pass on many things. I know she is not stupid and anecdotes and nervous interviews to hostile interviewers doesn’t make her so. Also the actions of her daughter doesn’t make her so. Single motherhood is a disease in this nation and we only have to look to popular culture as the way this disease is spread and it isn’t surprising that many of our conservative icons families have been far from perfect. One only has to look to Ron Reagan Jr to see that parents no matter how they try do not always succeed in transferring their world.

What gets me with those on the left and right where Palin is concerned is the level of derangement and lack of objectivity. They would never apply such a harsh standard to their favorite politicians. Part of the issue is clearly that Palin is proof positive that the image of a professional woman as an either or arrangement is patently false. One does not have to put off family for profession.

It is I believe it is more about ego for conservative leaning professional women and for liberals it is an outright fear that their personal dogma and definition of “the liberated woman” is at risk. I don’t much care about the liberals and what they think, they are intellectual immoral worms when judged by their horrid beliefs and in a better world would be treated as such. They are only important in as much as how very dangerous and destructive the pursuit of their beliefs is to the rest of us.

Sarah Palin may not be the next great leader of the GOP but to claim she is some how critically flawed when we have such an individual as we have now in the White House is ridiculous. She is not a Dan Quayle. If it is a choice between Palin and the same batch of also rans next go around then I’m all for Palin. She is attractive, a Mom, and an honest politician and that puts her at the top of the list in my book. If she’d be let run the McCain campaign they just might have won. One thing that is certain is that the rabble rouser liberal we have now is unbecoming of America.

Geez... this comment could have been written about Obie-wan.

failing to pay taxes on her per diem expenses (although, in other circumstances, such an oversight might make her a prime candidate for an Obama Cabinet position)

Please.

I am a 100% supporter of Sarah Palin.

I joined and donated to TeahSarah, and several other Sarah sites.

I have a "God Bless Sarah Palin" bumper sticker on the front AND back of my car.

Yet I must agree it was stupid for Sarah to put her 18 year old daughter in front of a national TV camera.

I saw the interview, and my perception was that Sarah was more interested than her daughter Bristol in showing off the new baby, and in getting the daughter's story out into the media.

Bottom line: nothing good ever comes from putting an 18-year old in front of a national TV reporter (even if it is Greta).

And it was certainly not helpful for Bristol to insist that teenage abstinence is "unrealistic."

I believe that Sarah was so proud of her new grandchild ... and wanted to show her off ... that she let emotions get the better of her logic.

If it is incorrect, it is from what I read about him.
Please give me a source if you have different information.
Since he has run for office, I would assume there is an abundance. Were his parents naturalized citizens at the time of his birth? Give me a source and I will check it out, but not knowing anymore about you than your screenname, your information is worthless without a source.

Good find...Carol Platt Liebau often sits in as a guest host for Hugh Hewitt, a HUGE Romney supporter.

The dots have been connected...

Carol substitutes for Hugh Hewitt. Both are heavy Romney supporters.

Recently Bill Bennett attacked Sarah and Bristol Palin for the interviews they gave to Greta and today lavished praise on Jindal.

Let’s face it folks: Sarah must be destroyed ASAP or nobody will have a chance to beat her in 2012. She is just too damn popular with the base. Witness the rise of SarahPac, Team Sarah, Conservatives 4 Palin, Sarah Palin radio, and web sites devoted to electing Sarah President in 2012.

Now Rush is touting Jindal as the voice that best expresses Reagan conservatism today. Rush, I usually agree with you, but you are right only 98.6% of the time. Even the Doctor of Demcoracy can have an off day.

“...she’ll be a joke to them forever.”

Well, hopefully only until their hero makes it impossible for them to find decent jobs, earn a living wage, buy a nice home, and furnish it. Then he takes away some of their freedoms, and forces them to ‘volunteer’ for the state. Then, maybe, they’ll stop laughing and start taking their citizenship more seriously. It’s easy to be a liberal when your parents are paying the bills and you have no responsibility.

Maybe from what you have read on left wing web sites. Nothing ever has been posted on FR with the propaganda you posted. Do your own homework or maybe you can ping a mod again for assistance.

What are you talking about, he was born in the United States by naturalized citizen parents, he does qualify under Title 8 of the immigration/citizenship code as well as all stretch translations and opinions of the US Constitution. The only place that is pushing this is DU where they are trying to make some connection to Bambi's issue.
