Is the Republican Party fomenting rebellion among the armed forces as a political tactic?

Alan Keyes' rant that soldiers should refuse orders given by President Obama has produced at least one tangible example. World Net Daily reports that Scott Easterling a U.S. soldier on active duty in Iraq has called President Obama an "impostor" in a statement in which he affirmed plans to join as plaintiff in a challenge to Obama's eligibility to be commander in chief.

The statement was publicized by California attorney Orly Taitz who, along with her Defend Our Freedom Foundation, is working on a series of legal cases seeking to uncover Obama's birth records and other documents that would reveal whether he meets the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

"As an active-duty officer in the United States Army, I have grave concerns about the constitutional eligibility of Barack Hussein Obama to hold the office of president of the United States," wrote Scott Easterling in a "to-whom-it-may-concern" letter.

"Until Mr. Obama releases a 'vault copy' of his original birth certificate for public review, I will consider him neither my Commander in Chief nor my President, but rather, a usurper to the Office – an impostor," his statement said.

WND reported yesterday that U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby, R-Ala., said during a meeting with constituents in Cullman County he has never seen proof the new president was born in Hawaii.

"Well, his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven't seen any birth certificate," Shelby said. "You have to be born in America to be president."

Recently President Obama’s picture was removed from a base commissary in Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, prompting a challenge by employees as it was allegedly removed after one customer complained noting Obama’s race.

While this may not be a trend, it is noteworthy that the hostility is so openly practiced by those sworn to uphold the Constitution. As President, Ronald Reagan started the practice of treating the military as an adjunct to the Republican Party. Senator Jesse Helms warned President Clinton that if he visited a military base in North Carolina he may be shot and President George W. Bush routinely used members of the military as props during public relations tours.

I would too, but rebellion against this destructive administration is not limited to military personnel.

Citizen dissent and rebellion is just as important.

We need a groundswell of dissent, as well as the proliferation of the “Tea Party Movement”.

He can end the controversy by producing a valid birth certificate. There is no reason to refuse to unless it doesn’t exist or reveals something which would call it into question.

The oath military officers take is to “obey LAWFUL orders” No officer is obligated to obey an order that is not lawfully given. If you make that decision though, you better be right!!

I, [name], do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter. So help me God.

"One notable difference between the officer and enlisted oaths is that the oath taken by officers does not include any provision to obey orders; while enlisted personnel are bound by the Uniform Code of Military Justice to obey lawful orders, officers in the service of the United States are bound by this oath to disobey any order that violates the Constitution of the United States."

Officer.

That, and Jesse Helms made the above comment as a JOKE. Which proves what Rush always says about liberals - they can't take a joke.

"...the military may have to step in and have a quiet takeover in order to save this country from destruction by those who are trying to destroy it."

Shhh! Lets keep that among ourselves for the time being.

I wonder if Ron Moore has seen 0bama's COLB? Maybe he should do what reporters are supposed to do, investigate.

Ok, never mind, investigating went out the window way before Dan "what's the frequency Kenneth," Rather was forging documents.

No. But conservatives are calling on all patriots, military and non-military to demand that the marxist quisling prove he is a NBC, since the GOP and the Dems did not.

Good going, pissant.
