MEXICO CITY, Mexico -- A mayor in Mexican President Felipe Calderon's home state was ambushed and killed by a group of heavily armed men as he returned to his house, news reports said.
It was the second assassination attempt in eight days on Vista Hermosa Mayor Octavio Manuel Carrillo Castellanos, the Cambio de Michoacan newspaper said on its Web site Wednesday.

Don’t know. The mayor of Juarez and his family are living in El Paso.
This is amazing. This stuff is happening on our border. We throw two US border guards in jail for shooting a Mexican drug guy, then take care of the drug guy and treat him like a victim....What happens when headless bodies start showing up and US officials in El Paso, San Antonio, Dallas, Houston, San Diego, LA.....start being assassinated?

You are being racist and unreasonable and xenophobic, when you could be celebrating the diversity of having illegal alien drug lords killing U.S. elected officials and innocent bystanders that Americans won’t kill. My brother-in-law has a manufactured home in Ensenada, BC as a weekend beach home getaway. Takes 3 hours to get there from Orange County, CA. More coming back because of the border.
About 3 years ago I told him I had no interest in Mexico, and we got into an unconfortable disagreement.
He reacted as if I insulted his intelligence, etc. We patched it up, so I have kept quiet.
But the last couple of years, more and more incidents have occured.
Maybe one day soon he may say: “Now I can understand how you felt.”

I was just wondering the same thing, especially with the arrests of all those drug cartel members here in the states. Is it only a matter of time before our local officials are targeted and killed?
The writing is on the wall. But no will read it until a few heads roll.
The fact we haven’t seen US officials targeted makes one SCRATCH THEIR HEAD.
