They are clearly a bunch of government drones protesting the slowing of the slop in the trough.
Nevertheless, they have something to teach us !!!!!
Watch and learn !!!!!
They didn’t go out on strike to protest a bad economy. They used the bad economy as an excuse to take time off work.
I am ethnically Greek, and I’ve spent a lot of time in Greece, so I think I know what I’m talking about when I say this: a Greek strike means nothing. There have been nationwide (or worldwide, in the case of Olympic Airlines) strikes to coincide with something good on TV (particularly a soccer game), strikes against more government intervention, strikes against less government intervention, strikes to coincide with the end of winter, and more. Greeks in Greece (a VERY different group than Greeks in the States) just don’t wanna work, and they spend a lot of time on strike.
This, of course, improved the situation.... how?
That’ll show ‘em!
Well if we want President Hopenchange to stop giving away the billions, is this not one way to get attention. Worked like a charm in Thailand a couple of months ago. Whats wrong with it as a protest avenue?
The Greek state itself owes 10 billion (around £7.5 billion) to the pension funds.
Let me know how that works out for you...
Actually, I wonder if Greece is going to be the first country to leave the EU?
Watch how it’s done people.
Greeks disgruntled by their country's economic woes... marched to parliament with banners reading "No to pension reforms, privatisations and job cuts".
Yup. No hope for Greece.
Happening in Ireland as well. But actually, this may not be a reflection of what the general public thinks. Unions are good at marching people around. In fact, that’s all they’re good at.
The unions are still at it I see....
That’ll teach ‘em!
They are idiots, but I bet they are listened to more by their leaders than we.
