Obama to Seek New Assault Weapons Ban
ABC News ^ | 02-25-2009 | Jason Ryan

As President Obama indicated during the campaign, there are just a few gun-related changes that we would like to make, and among them would be to reinstitute the ban on the sale of assault weapons," Holder told reporters.

I think closing the gun show loophole, the banning of cop-killer bullets and I also think that making the assault weapons ban permanent, would be something that would be permitted under Heller," Holder said, referring to the Supreme Court ruling in Washington, D.C. v. Heller, which asserted the Second Amendment as an individual's right to own a weapon.

Come on man, we’re all pissed about this. Let’s not eat our own, and yes, I held my nose and voted for McCain, actually I voted for Palin.

Not until someone with nothing left to lose actually develops the guts to squeeze off the first round. Until then, it's all just theoretical.

Trust me, if there are only a dozen "Henry Bowman"s out there, maybe the others will start helping out. I think that if this thing passes, that Henry Bowman's all over the nation pop up and start feeding the hogs. 2010 will be a great year for pork belly futures on the commodity market.

LOL..thats a "tube gun" sten. Manufactured in the panic of May 1986 when Class II manufacturers were cranking out NFA guns due to the ban.

My ORIGINAL Sten from Fazakerly was in Operation Market Garden, captured by Germans, then captured by Patton's 3rd Army and brought back pre-1968.

People pay $7-10k for original Stens with amnesty paperwork and a little background proof. A buddy of mine has a Royal Navy Sten Mk. I that is worth $20kish

Washington D.C. has the most draconian gun control laws in the U.S.

Guess what city has the highest gun deaths per year in the U.S.?

Washington D.C. at about 300 per 100,000 population.
Coming to a city near you!

Buy gold, by ammo, buy MRE’s, etc, and pray!

Add this: Make a list of your anti-gunners and know where they live. When the balloon goes up, examples need to be made ala Henry Bowman.

Full auto M-16's originally retailed at $400. M16-A1 at ImpactGun's is currently priced to sell at $19k. A BAR recently sold for $23k.

FedGov over exceeded their authority and created a limited market. Demand has only gone up. Simple Econ 101.

Sure is! I’ve bought a bunch of them and they’re proudly displayed on our vehicles. I wish they were just a bit larger, so they could be seen from a greater distance.

What's sad, is that, Constitutionally, you and I are more entitled to own M4s/M16A2s, M203s, M240s, M2s that a semi-auto AR-15, if you subscribe to the TRUE definition and regulation of a citizen militia.

To be curt: we should have the exact same small arm that is BEARABLE that is currently in use by any military or LEO organization.

....If only our Congresscritters would only read that precious piece of paper instead of wiping their asses with it....

LOL...my grandmother would be so angry to know what happened to her piano (wire) since there is no one in the family that can play it anymore.

No. The ban on Armor Piercing Handgun Ammunition had nothing to do with teflon coatings. It relates the bullet core materials such as iron, steel, brass, etc.

I wonder if it applies to this. No special armor-piercing ability with standard ammo (although FP is available to LE), but as a small-caliber pistol it does pretty well at penetrating vests. Notice the sharp, pointy, non-expanding bullets.

It would definitely go bye-bye due to the 20-round magazine though.

I'd go even further... Arms as defined by the Founders. "Every terrible implement" as Mr. Henry opined. Canon, aircraft, ships, submarines, HUMV's, STRIKER (although only the Gods know why anyone would want one), whatever you can afford to own without infringing on the equal Rights of your neighbors.

But I freely admit I'm an extremist who is unwilling to compromise. Compromise has got us to where we are today.

Our Attorney General is none other than Public Enemy #1.

We are getting our change alright. Less freedom, less security, more government oppression and the list goes on and on.

A right cannot be taxed. The right has already been paid for. Poll tax is unconstitutional because the citizen is entitled to the right to vote.

Those of you who choose to keep fishing from the same ol pond, will keep catching the same ol big mouth bass.

Go a lil deeper my friend. Voting the lesser of two evils, voting for the center, voting for moderates in hopes it will capture a wider voting block is plain ol poppycock.

This is why we are in the position we are in, years of voting other than conservative.

Thompson??? That's exactly what I mean. Blow hard has been actor with no staying power.

I'm referring to conservative patriots, statesmen......not Hollywood.

That would be a rapid prelude to CW2. I hope those idiots realize that.

They may be counting on it.
