Alaska has one of the smallest populations of any state, and they’re further apart from each other than residents in any other state.

Exactly. Thank you for making my point.

Alaska does not need the rest of US.

Any kind of real organized defense would be impossible for Alaska.

What are you talking about? Defense of what, and from whom?

Without the United States military, Alaska would be back in the hands of Russia faster than you can spit. Putin would cream in his briefs if Alaska seceded.

This sounds like an alcohol fueled statment. Did you have any when you said this? Be honest. Do you really think Russia will invade Alaska if the State goes its own way? Why? Give me 2 reasons.

That’s what I’m wondering, KK. Would the armed forces sent to quell the revolting public be so blindly obedient to Obama, especilly if a majority of them didn’t care for him or respect him. I see soldiers leaving the military and joining the cause, especially since the libs have so little love for the military.

So, who would you join, the likes of Obama, Pelosi, etc., who’d just as soon spit on you, or the ones who stood up at the parades and saluted and waved for the military as they walked past?

“That part doesn’t have any Officers to lead them.”

Right, none of the officers will choose opposite sides—just like last time.

In the last revolution, the "Tories", in large part, were killed or driven out of the colonies into Canada.

Like I said in Post 17: "It'll be neighbor v neighbor and it'll be ugly."

This time there is only one attribute by which to determine the enemy: The answer to the question: "Do you believe in and support a Constitutional Republic as founded in 1787?"

And a "yes" means you're willing to return the land the US bought from France and Russia and the land the US conquered/purchased from Mexico because there is no Constitutional basis for such acquisitions.

“Most important is the proposal for a North American Union that, the Illuminati, Masons, Rhodes Scholars etc are promoting, as push for the NWO....noone escapes their plan, at least that’s their intention...not to mention the jhadists who want everyone to be muslim, it’s bizarro world already.”

Everybody talks about it as if there will be only two sides, two points of view. It’s likely to be more complicated than that. You mentioned the NWO types and the jihadists, but there’s also the LA Raza types who want the Southwest returned to Mexico, the various gangs that might set up a “Warlord” type of territory and I bet there are some Religious types who would try to grab some territory and set up some sort of theocracy if they could.

Vermont will only be the first of a new confederacy, I believe. If things get bad, this could happen. A Russian recently said America will break up. I laughed when I read the article and thought it was only sour grapes for what happened to the USSR—but maybe he was on to something. If the federal Government bankrupts the treasury maybe a new nation could repudiate the debt and start over. Save your Confederate Money Boys, the south shall rise again. The US could break into five nations with only a handful still in the Obamanation. Lets all hope this is just some sci-fi dream of the future.

"Oklahoma could break away"

I have talked to several state legisltors, including one in a leadership position, and it is a real possibility. There has been talk behind closed doors down on Lincoln Blvd. about this very subject.

There’s no constitutional justification for secession. They should call it what it is, “Strategies for Revolt and Rebellion”. If the people of a state think they are up for THAT, then they should go for it. As long as they feel they can take on the power of the US military. They better recruit some more National Guardsman. :)

They just shouldn’t pretend it’s constitutional or legal.

You actually think this country will last until 2010 without a nuke or chem/bio attack under the terrorist-coddling DemocRats? I think you’re dreaming. We need to do something “before” then just to prevent that kind of attack from occurring. And I have NO doubt that our enemies are planning just such an attack at this very moment.

That map indicates that rather than talk of secession, there should be talk of purge.

The blue fringe should be purged from the union, not the other way round.

Effective March 1 you are purged and are no longer Americans.

Yeah, that’s what we need, a bloody revolution.

lol

Instead of talk of secession and “purging”, there should be talk (and action) toward changing the policy of the elected officials we have, or else toward changing the elected officials themselves. Anything else is just a waste of time, though it will give the cranks something to occupy themselves.

I was just in OKC yesterday...right near the Capital.

It wouldn't surprise me...if this is one of the reasons we are hearing basically crickets from most Pubbies out there...especially on this subject.

Something that still sticks in my mind is a picture from 2008 of the Obomination standing on a tarmac somewhere holding a book called The Post-America World.

Good point. A divided America is an easier America to conquer/absorb into an international entity. A revolution is what the Left wants.

"And a "yes" means you're willing to return the land the US bought from France and Russia and the land the US conquered/purchased from Mexico because there is no Constitutional basis for such acquisitions. "

Point taken.

However, the primary issues we now face have to do with the imminent loss of the very few personal freedoms & liberties that remain to us. Nothing in those acquisitions had any negative effects on our unalienable rights. In fact, they actually, it turned out, enhanced and expanded the ability to enjoy our unalienable rights.

IMHO, what is a shame is that we didn't annex all of northern Mexico after that war.

IAC, restore the Republic and then we'll at least be in a position to address the kind of mistakes that led us to where we are now.

It's that or face many, many decades of the Soviet-style rule that is now a foregone conclusion.

Would the armed forces sent to quell the revolting public be so blindly obedient to Obama, especilly if a majority of them didn’t care for him or respect him.

Several points here:

1. It’s not really about Obama.

2. Military members are supposed to respect the Office of the President regardless of who is occupying it. Some will think that way, others won’t.

3. If the public revolts in a number of States, the present size of the military is insufficient to put down all of them.

4. If the public revolts, it won’t be all of the public and if State or Federal forces are insufficient to put them down, the main fight will be internal to the States, between the citizens of the States who differ in their view of things. That’s what I meant in Post 23 when I wrote: “Who do you think is going to make the decision to stay or go? What makes you think the decision process will be peaceful?” The decision to stay or go will be made by the citizens of the State and very likely not peacefully. It’ll be more like Kansas and Missouri was than like the Army of the Potomac and the Army of Northern Virginia.

So, who would you join, the likes of Obama, Pelosi, etc., who’d just as soon spit on you, or the ones who stood up at the parades and saluted and waved for the military as they walked past?

I will be on the losing side. We will all be on the losing side no matter which side we are on because everybody will lose.

More directly, I will be on the third side. I want to preserve the United States as a Republic, not turn the Continent into a bunch of third World countries or into a Socialist “utopia”. Everybody will hate me :)

Obama, Pelosi, etc. don’t count in the larger scheme of things. They are replaceable. What counts is the segment of the population who put Obama, Pelosi, etc. in their positions and who would replace them with the same kind of people. That segment of the population must be defeated.
