Can you imagine the screams of “FASCISTS!” coming from Leftists everywhere if the Republicans had ever tried this when they were in control.

I hope the Republicans remember this well, so that the next time they control the Congress, if there ever IS a next time, they will have no scruples about CRUSHING the DemonRATs with the most oppressive rules.

It’s long past time for the gloves to come off.

The only good that can come of this, is that the DemonRAT communists might finally overplay their hand.

The republicans THOUGHT they could use the nice nice rules of parlimentary procedure to get something.

We are now paying the price for them being the stupid party.

The question is, how does something like this get passed in the waning days of Bush?

I would like to know why it is that the Republicans don’t simply walk out. Leave the building. Do it when you know that the C-SPAN cameras are live.

The Minority Leader needs to make a speech decrying the utter lack of fairness, the tyranny of the majority when 45% or so of the people voted the other way, and then say, “We are not going to stand by and participate in such a system, and thereby legitimize it. We are leaving - you Democrats explain to the American people why it is that for the first time in history 45% of the people have literally no voice.”

Then let the Dems do what they want - it’ll all be on them.

It’s past time to do away with the federal gov’t. It should pretty much be abolished except for a few things.

This procedural law is likely unconstitutional. We need a suit brought immediately by House Republicans. Nothing less will do.

Publicity of the procedure should be wall to wall, and of the suit in SCOTUS against it.

Such fascists maneuvering of the House and of the Obama White House is horribly destructive of our financial markets.

If anyone with any berries has not moved their portfolios off shore, they are dreaming at this point.

The " Nationalization " of our finance system quietly proceeds apace. And Rush Limbaugh has pointed this out, that the firms leading the way are essentially owned by democrat financiers, who are working hand in hand with Obama, Soros and his running dogs.

Because the crisis of finance had prevented the ability to fund the Obama Utopia, the Obama Plan is to seize and control our finance system by the federal government having ownership and control of it, by using our tax dollars to purchase preferred shares stakes while lowly public investors must rest with common shares, and the ability to direct investment strategy according to political goals and not " Mere Profit Making." which now is called ," GREED" by the Obama Nationalist Fascist Collective. The greed is that of the Democrat fascist Party.

Dem institutions such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have become, a house for every deadbeat, instruments of financial Armageddon spread world wide: " Do as I say or we will self destruct!" A threat I would like to see realized, as it must be some day in either the near or far future.

Many financial institutions having taken TARP money want out. And if you haven't noticed , the feds won't allow them to exit. There will be no exit. Their asses now belong to the feds.

Wells Fargo is one, AIG is another, and in AIGs case, it has resulted in an exodus of its skilled management to other corporations, many located off shore.

The fascist nationalization program is proceeding behind closed doors, under the pretense that the public should not know, they might try to make profits from it!

No wonder the DOW continues to tank, while the MSM is silent , except for our hero Santelli, who has it right, exactly.

The end point will be that an entire generation of baby boomer retirees will be dependent on government, except for those who have moved their investments off shore. And if those folks are not careful, the feds will eventually come after them too, just as they have in the Swiss Bank " secret account" fiasco.

If you move funds offshore, make sure to continue to pay taxes as long as you are a US resident, which in many , many cases, will not last long, as many move out of the USA to follow their off shore funds into retirement elsewhere. It is a choice between freedom and dependence, poverty and richness, health into old age, versus triage of the elderly.

Soon America may awaken to having had enough of hope and change, wealth redistribution, but the MSM prevents that avenue, and will until its too late.

Only when MSM advertising revenue dries up, will they realize their folly. Rupert Murdock is already shaking like a dog sh!tt!ng razor blades, yet refuses to have FOX tell the truth. By then Obama will have Censorship laws in place.

What's the point of having "representation" when the representatives are prevented from reviewing the legislation before voting on it? The Marxists are anxious to ram their whole agenda down our throats with no review, no checks, no balances.

Ok, this just proves that our Reps do not have the best interest of the country at heart. Voting for something without knowing what it is your are voting on is irresponsible and we need to get these jerks out of office ASAP. Martial law doesn’t force them to vote, it merely allows them to vote without allowing anyone time to read it. In that case the correct action is to vote no on each and every bill that comes up and for a responsible President(which we don’t have)to veto them if they are passed. We are in trouble big time folks.

The proper response to martial law after communists have taken over the government might involve judicial use of items such as this:
