The article addresses the effect of the downturn on not just worship services, but also on other religion based services such as food banks. No doubt this is happening in many states around the country.

I will not support churches that support ACORN, La Raza, MALDEF, liberalism, homosexual marriage, open borders and idiots like Rick “buy my new book”
Warren or prosperity phony preachers with trophy wives like Joel Osteen.

On a side note this to me seems to be a spirutal country club and not a church where the Gospel is preached
http://www.cslcv.org/about.shtml
* There is one power, one intelligence, in the universe. We call this power God.
* God is the source of all creation, nothing exists outside of God.
* Every person is a divine creation of God.
* Divine nature is our inheritance, all qualities of God exist within each of us.
* God is wholeness, we experience this wholeness as psychological, physical and relational wellness.
* All humanity is part of the divine and as such is one.
* Our thoughts create our experience.
* We are at choice in every moment.
* Through prayer treatment and affirmation we bring about changes in our experience.
* As we awake to the qualities of God within us, the world awakens.

Templo Calvario in Santa Ana laid off six of its 35 employees, closed its 25-year-old food bank and cut back on its contributions to missions because of dwindling funds in the midst of a major construction project ....The church needs the money to keep up with payments on a $9 million loan for a new sanctuary......
Seems to me I read somewhere that the borrower is a servant to the lender. Looks like that's still true today.
