Republicans Smell Weakness In Obama
The Daily Beast ^ | 2/27/2009 | John Batchelor

Posted on 02/27/2009 12:45:16 PM PST by SonOfDarkSkies

The public may have liked the president’s big speech, but the GOP isn’t worried. Insiders say they’re raring for a fight, and that they think Obama’s in a very vulnerable position.

...

“I feel sorry for him sometimes,” confided a senior Republican House member about President Obama. “He invited us over to the White House to explain to us how the stimulus plan is working, and how the budget is going to work, and he spoke to us a couple of times. He doesn’t act like he knows what’s going on with the economy. He’s so afraid of confrontation, when you challenge him, he backs off, like he doesn’t know the right answer. Who does? That’s why you kinda feel sorry for him. Not his guys, they don’t act like they know. Do they notice the stock market sinking? Who doesn’t? There’s this sense of disarray. The administration is made up of a lot of Number twos. The only one with any gravitas is [David] Axelrod. Geithner? He looks like he’s 12-years-old, or a grad student. The president is like a perfect vice president. That’s what the big speech was like. A vice president was talking.”

Dow down another 100-9600+ when Obama was elected. This country won’t survice 4 years with these babies in charge.Biggest february drop in history-all because the smart people know this is headed for ultimate disaster with his failed policies.

You were right the first time. A got shot of whiskey seems to make all my economic reading better of late.

He can't know what he's doing because he has never done anything except take (grant) money and distribute it to others. If he's done anything different as POTUS, I'd like to hear it.

I think his goal is to make us like Kenya and he's succeeding!

Actually, Geithnew looks like a 12-year-old boy masterbating in his room right after his mom walks in.

SP: (Geithner) (Masturbating)

And you are familiar HOW with this "look"?

The bombastic types are usually like this. They fold under pressure.

Well, I was trying to “hedge my bets”. Frankly, at the rate things are going down, and speeding up, I doubt we will get out of March without things becoming really clear. And bad.

Geithner always looks depressed to me. Wonder what meds he takes.

Just heard a news report on the radio that California’s unemployment rate just hit 10.2% and the downward spiral hasn’t really started yet.

This is going to get very, very, bad.

We need some red state Dems to start worrying about their political survival if he passes his radical agenda. With a few more votes, he could be defeated on some big issues.

I don't count Porkulus as a fair test of strength. Few congressmen could resist 700+ trillion of pork, dressed up as a cure for the economy.

With a true narcissistic personality, they may back off but they are getting a plan together to rip right through anyone opposing them. Narcissist never see themselves as at fault thus they are—in their twisted mind—justified to destroy opposition even if they have to use others to do it and remain ‘above the fray’. Obama is a classic narcissistic personality and is proving his ‘back off’ routine is merely prep for ruthlessness.

Once you feed the masses this ‘progressive’ pablum, they’re brainwashed for life, thinking there really is a free lunch!

Like any socialist country, the people rapidly learn that their free lunch is barely enough to live on and not enough to thrive. If it goes on long enough, the people lose hope and the country crashes and cannot recover.
