I'M BUYING ALL THREE BOOKS!!! Thanks for letting us know, DrDeb!
And you keep up the great ‘work’!! . . . Unfortunately for you, Obama’s going to be in your state for at least another day!
Yeah...yuck...”Silkwood” showers all around ;-)
Thanks for all the great links, Deb!
Well! They finally admit he’s a “good man” after trashing
him for 8 years! We could have told them that 8 years ago!
What duplicity!
I saw the reaction of the folks at that restaurant to his
eating there. They loved him and thought he was nice and normal. Something we all knew already.
I miss him so much. I miss an intelligent administration. The clowns have taken over. :(
There was an ad on tonight with Lady Laura and a number of children emphasizing the importance of reading. She looked so dignified and lovely.
I sure miss them.
I just had to share my tale of woe with those who would understand and empathize.....I’m boo hooing all morning...
A bicyclist friend of my husband’s, who lives about 10 minutes from my place, called about 9:45 this morning to say.....guess who stayed at a nearby home last night... ....YES.....GEORGE W. BUSH!!! I believe the home belonged to Ambassador Mel Sembler. The Semblers are big supporters of the Bush family.
OMG....and he was still there around 7 am this morning. But, by the time, I heard this, he had left. Sooooo close....boo hoo!!
I am soooo depressed. Would DEFINITELY have been on the street with my THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH sign. And, I’ll bet the first thing that came to each of you....just as it did me......WHY DIDN’T YOU CALL ME LAST NIGHT????? Grrrrrr.
I didn’t hear this mentioned on local news....not surprising. And, I wonder if our “esteemed” Gov Crist made time to say hello.....as he did when Mr. Obama appeared in Sarasota....not.
Thanks for ‘listening’.
I'm sure your neighbors were sworn to secrecy about the visit. Highly doubt Crist would have crossed back over to the R side for a visit with W.
Oops, now I really feel bad . . . I posted the following at WA last evening; I then got distracted and forgot to post it here:
FORMER PRESIDENT BUSH VISITS BAY AREA HOME
TREASURE ISLAND - FOX 13 is getting word that former President George W. Bush is in the Bay Area.
He is reportedly headed to a private home in Pinellas County.
A representative with President Bush’s office in Dallas confirms that he is in the Bay Area, but said he has no public schedule.
FOX 13 has confirmed that President Bush will spend the night in Pinellas County.

ohhh, DrDeb, do not feel bad.....that’s what I get for having my TV locked on to Fox News Channel ...and for not checking in to WA (can’t remember my password). I did ‘tune in’ to Fox 13’s 11 pm news and didn’t hear this. And, I was not aware that Ambassador Sembler lived nearby. It’s my own failure ...and for my punishment, I’ll have to listen to one (ONLY ONE) of Mr. Obama’s ongoing campaign speeches...ewwww. LOL.
Well, maybe next time he’ll visit my home.....LOL!!
And, if he does, you’re ALL invited....!!
Hi W!!!! Loved the story about your visiting that little girl....she said what we all were feeling. I'm glad she got to be the one to see you. I let a little girl in front of me, when you were at the St. Regis and she was SOOO happy. I knew I made the right decision, although I wish I could have said a more personal hello to you at the time.
We miss you lots, dear W. We miss having adults living in the White House. It's soooo embarrasing having the O's there. Embarrasing at nearly every turn. Thank you for acting Presidential and always making us proud! Please tell your wife hello, and give her the same compliment for us all. Bye for now,
One of your MANY FRiends, NordP
Well, Dagnabbit!! I know it would have been fun to hold a sign for the President!
Nord, terrific note to W !
I must admit to daydreaming.. IF I got to speak with W....I would tell him to go to FR, A Day in the Life....he could see how many care deeply about him and our gracious Laura. Well, I can dream.
Thanks for news it makes ones feel so much better just to get a few brief words of what GWB is doing rather than having to put up with Zero grinning on our TV set.
I keep thinking of you lately especially at meal times as I know how hard it was for you during your mum's last few weeks when she found eating such a problem.
I am pleased to report dad's appetite has returned and yesterday I made him a quiche and his favourite trifle and he had a large portion of both.
I also made a cake earlier in the week which he enjoyed.
Somehow the fun side of the man the media have done their best to hide but we can all remember some of funny skits he has done and also funny anecdotes at rallies etc. Not to mention the Halloween costume of his dogs even poking fun at Hilliary's description of him as Darth Vader.
I'm especially touched that you are thinking of me/us now, as we buried her on the 19th of March last year. Wow...hard to believe it's already been a year.
I'm so glad you still have your Dad. Ask him to tell you EVERY story of his days that you can. There's soooo much more to these fine people than we as their children could ever know. They have seen so much in their lifetimes.
Thank you and give Dad a hug from me/Mom.
...and your cuisine looks delightfully delicious!!!
~~PING to #317
You’re fantastic, Lynne~~!! Thank you SO much for being out there for hard working, tax paying, responsible, and job-growing patriots ... the backbone of America!!
Good afternoon.
New positive blog about President Bush!!

About Me
I’m a college dropout in my mid-20s. More importantly, I am a tireless devotee of former President George W. Bush. “Devotee” may be putting it mildly, come to think of it.

President Sets Classy Tone
George Bush reserves comment
Former United States President George W. Bush said he would not criticise President Barack Obama because his successor “deserves my silence” and said he planned to write a book about the 12 toughest decisions he made in office.
Bush declined to criticise the Obama Administration in his first speech since leaving office.
He said he wanted Obama to succeed and it was important that the new President had support. “I think it is essential that he be helped in office.”
Hate to belabor the point, but this is why we love the man so. Not just for his steadfast leadership during times of unparallelled peril. Not just for his determination to destroy the evil that surrounds us. His refusal to take a cheap shot at a man famous for cheap shots at his own expense speaks volumes about the character and wisdom of George W. Bush.
America did not deserve him.
