Gates bought a substantial share of Apple stock years ago, this is a dumb PR stunt released to the media. Microsoft bought $150 million of restricted Apple Preferred Stock in 1997... and sold it at a profit about three years later, after the restriction was lifted. The stock purchase was part of a lawsuit settlement that Microsoft essentially LOST.

Gates may have also banned BlackBerrys Speaking of Crackberrys, anybody remember when the iPhone was first released so long ago and all the Crackberry users were maligning the iPhone touchscreen?
Haven't heard anything out of them since all the new Crackberrys look like iPhone clones................
