We already have Carbon trading/monetizing/crediting on the
Chicago Climate Exchange .
As well, we can participate in the European Union Emission Trading Scheme.
It's a voluntary program.
I have preached for a long time that we Americans should "get in front" of this as if we didn't, it would be crammed down our throats, as we see is now gonna' happen.
It would have been so much better for us to define our involvement and the requisites, than to be forced into it by their rules. I would rather have a bunch of U.S. Capitalists making money with this, than the Gov't taxing us into poverty for it.
Life is starting to suck, big time.
