Tony Blankley: Obama Lied; the Economy Died
townhall.com ^ | March 04, 2009 | Tony Blankley

Posted on 03/04/2009 5:36:49 AM PST by kellynla

I am trying to capture the spirit of bipartisanship as practiced by the Democratic Party over the past eight years. Thus, I have chosen as my lead this proposition: Obama lied; the economy died. Obviously, I am borrowing this from the Democratic theme of 2003-08: "Bush lied, people died." There are, of course, two differences between the slogans.

Most importantly, I chose to separate the two clauses with a semicolon rather than a comma because the rule of grammar is that a semicolon (rather than a comma) should be used between closely related independent clauses not conjoined with a coordinating conjunction. In the age of Obama, there is little more important than maintaining the integrity of our language against the onslaught of Orwellian language abuse that is already a babbling brook and soon will be a cataract of verbal deception.

The other difference is that Bush didn't lie about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. He merely was mistaken. Whereas Obama told a whopper when he claimed that he is not for bigger government. As he said last week: "As soon as I took office, I asked this Congress to send me a recovery plan by Presidents Day that would put people back to work and put money in their pockets, not because I believe in bigger government -- I don't."

Wrong, Blankley...unless you don't think 500 tons of yellow cake uranium would be considered WMD...http://www.americanthinker.com/printpage/?url=http://www.americanthinker.com/2005/07/about_that_500_tons_of_yellow.html

The other difference is that Bush didn't lie about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

Saddam Hussein had poison gas.

He proved he had it.

He used it.

The only real question can be "What did he do with that which he didn't use up the first time, and his replenishment stock?".

“management” has already weighed in on it, but I’m sure you’ve never read it.

And we all know how identical editorials posted from different sources all have different viewpoints and new and interesting facts. LOL!

The first 5 are the same Blankley editorial posted before yours.

...let me know when you learn how to read...

I think it will happen before you learn to search.

Post it as many times as you want. I'm just laughing at your claim that the 6th posting of the same editorial has different info because it was posted on a different website. LOL!

“management” has already weighed in on it, but I’m sure you’ve never read it.

And we know that you thumb your nose at the posting guideline contained in that thread, putz.

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1611173/posts?page=48#48

Like you, Tom Servo used to spend his entire meager, myopic existence at the computer glued to FR checking each thread to see if it had already been posted before, until he ended up in the hospital and nearly died. He doesn't do that anymore, realizing that there is more to life. You most likely won't undergo that type of epiphany until you spend some time knocking on death's door, or fall through it.

The “we” you refer to seems to be those voices in head, maybe you should seek some professional help, especially when it comes to wishing people dead.

Otherwise, that just makes you just another low grade petty fr anarchist, encouraging people to ignore the rules.

Xcamel, it's one thing to point out the occasional duplicate post, but you're going out of your way to be irksome about it.
Read posts 14, 35, 39, 40, 41, 61, 62 and 63 from last night's thread.

Do you realize you are in danger of across as a troll?

Do you really feel someone needs to read or even see the same thread 5, 7, 19 times because they were too stupid to get it the first time?

Reposting is outright disrespect of the original poster, unless you have something more of substance to offer. Far more times than not I get a thank you from the original poster instead of pissy little remarks from the peanut gallery, especially when it comes to doing a more accurate search.

There are far more “related” and “more” and “see also” or “backstory” links posted by me than chasing pure vanity dupes by the usual suspects.
