“Stories liek this make my skin crawl.”
Probably sub-dermal parasites resposible for that skin sensation.
I wont argue with everyone about whether it is or not, it’s very real, and far, far more widespread than you can imagine, I have been very near death with this already. I will have had it three years this May, you can read my story by reading my comments on this thread:

Well, what will you call it if you get it?
From Wikipedia:
“Despite the lack of evidence that Morgellons is a novel or distinct condition and the absence of any agreed set of diagnostic symptoms,[9] the Morgellons Research Foundation and self-diagnosed Morgellons patients have successfully lobbied members of Congress and the U.S. government’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to investigate the proposed condition.[2] The CDC states that while it is not known at present whether the condition represents a new disease entity, or whether persons who identify themselves as having Morgellons have a common cause for their symptoms, share common risk factors, or are contagious, it has begun an epidemiological investigation of the “Unexplained Dermopathy (aka ‘Morgellons’).”[10]”
The Obama administration will probably send the CDC a billion or so to fight this dreaded diesease.
Yep it’s for real. In the last couple years, this has been discussed on radio (yes late night) and also on Discovery Health. Seems to be a legit new creepy disease.
I’ve been reading articles on this disease for years. It has gone from a few folks (called looney) to more and more. The more attention on this disease the better. The chances of nationalized medicine doing anything about this is zero, I’m afraid.
lol.
epidemic that no-one has heard of?
It’s garbage. The CDC is investigating due to a number of phone calls and unconfirmed reports, but the CDC has yet to find an actual case. All it takes is one trip to the CDC website to confirm.
Weird stuff.
I’ve heard of this. Read some stories on it over the past several years.
I feel for those who have it. Do some searches on the internet and check out some personal stories, and photos. It will blow your mind.

Has no one ever collected a sample of these little beasties for an entomologist to examine? Surely that would provide some sort of clue as to the pathology of the disease.
I clicked the link for morgellons but couldn’t find anything on it.
Feeling itchy today? Suddenly have that feeling that something is crawling on the back of your neck.. Moving down your back.. an itch you just can’t seem to reach. You’ve had those kind of itches before, the itch you just can’t scratch... similar to the feeling if you had an ant crawling on your leg but didn’t bite.. now the back of your leg is itching... now your elbow.. you scratch and scratch..
Probably, but I’ve seen fungi do some really odd stuff in plants.
I could see someone getting some weird (normally harmless) fungi if they were on anti-biotics.
I checked some other sites on this and none mentions bugs coming out.
It sounds like a nervous system problem. Perhaps the fibers are nerves run amok.
CDC Investigation The suffering that many people associate with this condition is best addressed by a careful, objective scientific analysis. Considering the complexity of this condition, we believe that a measured and thorough approach offers the best chance for finding useful...
