President Barack Obama doesn’t go anywhere without his TelePrompter.
The textbook-sized panes of glass holding the president’s prepared remarks follow him wherever he speaks.
Resting on top of a tall, narrow pole, they flank his podium during speeches in the White House’s stately parlors. They stood next to him on the floor of a manufacturing plant in Indiana as he pitched his economic stimulus plan. They traveled to the Department of Transportation this week and were in the Capitol Rotunda last month when he paid tribute to Abraham Lincoln in six-minute prepared remarks.
Obama’s reliance on the teleprompter is unusual — not only because he is famous for his oratory, but because no other president has used one so consistently and at so many events, large and small.

Then take the pictures with the pane of glass blocking his face. It's who he really is. Run a few of those pictures on the front page or cover of Time and I bet we'll see him learn to wean himself off of his glass pacifier.
(And, yes, maybe conservatives should start calling it is "pacifier".)
He bumps his head on the plane, he tries to enter the White house thru a window thinking its a door, he says there are 57 states, he says 10,000 people died in a tornado when it was 12...
And yet only last week CNN was still talking about Dan Quale and his Potato error. (No-They really were)

Let’s hope the US doesn’t have another terrorist attack. He would have to set up his teleprompter on a heap of rubble before he could make a speech.
The Bush-haters thought W couldn’t make a speech, but everyone will remember his words at Ground Zero long after we have forgotten BO’s avalanche of teleprompter-wrapped garbage.
which came first? Obama discovered the teleprompter or Obama’s oratary skills?
I thought a teleprompter present at his "news conference" touting Porkulus was pretty strange, and something I had not seen before.

There’s your target for you civil disobedience types. Take out his teleprompters before he gets a chance to speak. Then see if he cancels or tries to “wing” it.
