Ah yes, I remember her. She's the former Treasurer of the United States (not to be confused with Secretary of the Treasury -- unlike the Secretary, "The Treasurer" title is a ceremonial job). She was the "electable" RINO that the GOP "moderates" wanted to run for the U.S. Senate. When Bill Jones lost the general election, they course blamed it on him being "too right wing" (LMAO!) and complained that if only Marin had been nominated, the seat would have been "in play" in the GOP.

1) In 2005, as a consultant to Washington DC Republican lobbying firm DCI, Marin participated in a secret grass roots effort to stop regulation of mortgage giant Freddie Mac.

2) Edward Escareno was quietly prosecuted by the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office and convicted in Los Angeles County Superior court on December 20, 2005 for "Grand Theft", a felony.

The conviction was evidently kept a secret by both the Huntington Park city council and by the District Attorney's office in order to protect Rosario Marin's public image, as she is closely associated with Escareno, her protégé.

It's amazing what you can get away with if you are a crooked politician.
