Is Twitter a tweet tool for the useful idiots of the left?
Posted on 03/06/2009 11:21:13 AM PST by Jim Robinson
Just heard Rush mention that Twitter is a tool of the left. Obama & Co use it to "tweet" their millions of members with instant messages (propaganda). Don't know if this is true or not, but would be interesting to find out. Same goes for Facebook. Heard it was a leftist tool. And we already know Wiki is. Looks like the left is invading the Net. Prepare to repel boarders to starboard!

don't complain about it, adopt it. If it works for Obama, maybe it will work for us. Let's go after those Obama people and teach them the facts of life. Maybe they will repent and follow the upward path (politically, of course)
I never heard of tweeter. What is it and how can we put it to good use??

Jim, all those sites are extensions of what the younger generation thinks passes for thought and discourse. If they think someone read their twenty word response they think they are famous. Yes, they are that shallow.

Yep, you're correct...."if it works for Obama maybe it'll work for us".
Rush said the same thing today.
He essentially said that Twitter shows how far the Republican party is behind when it comes to new communicating ideas and technology.

yeah... one grandpa caveman to another “this younger generation with their fire and their wheel.. who do they think they are!”
the 140 character limit on Twitter can also be very entertaining and occasionally poetic, sometimes very inventive.. just see James Lileks twitter page.

Please ping me. I have no clue how to use Twitter. Could you please give some of us some instruction?
Thanks

as a great grandpa, I have a very close grandson who has moved his grandpa onto internet so that I can at least do what I'm doing here.

A tool is neither left or right it is an open book.
Because the left is using it (successfully) do you honestly think that we should not use the tool?
Grow up or lose forever!

Depends. If the tool is owned by the left, it could be used as a trojan horse.

“I do wish that we had a breaking news twitter page.”
I’d agree with that. But I would also like a list of FReepers who are on Twitter, like myself, so we can put each other on the FRiends list.
How about it? Anyone want to get a FR Twitter list going? Or maybe I can volunteer to do it? I know we have ping lists galore, so how about a list of all the Conservatives who Tweet?

We need something. I have a link on my profile page but that would be a total pain.
