State police are investigating a threat, in the form of a dead goat with a note, aimed at State Assemblyman Gregory Ball (R-Patterson). The black and white goat with horns was found Thursday night on the street outside Balls home with an abusive message tied around its neck.
In broken Spanish, scrawled on a scrap of cardboard, the note called Ball an (expletive) American and was signed MS-13, the name of a notorious Central American gang.
While the two-term assemblyman has supported legislation aimed at deporting violent illegal immigrants, he said he thinks the gang threat is phony because some of the notes Spanish was misspelled.
Ball suspects the message could signal retaliation from some disenfranchised constituents. When he won his seat, in 2006, he knocked out a family line that had been in power in Putnam County for more than 70 years. Ball also said he took on organized crime in Danbury. Perhaps the culprits knew the assemblyman was a long-time 4-H member who used to raise goats like the one dumped by his house.

Republican NY State Assemblyman threatened by gang of illegal immigrants. His campaign motto was: "Illegal immigration is illegal".
Question: are these guys working for the DNC?

he said he thinks the gang threat is phony because some of the notes Spanish was misspelled. Or it's misspelled because it was done by a bung of illiterate gang thugs. Either way, he'd have to be a complete democrat to ignore the threat.

...he said he thinks the gang threat is phony because some of the notes Spanish was misspelled. And, of course, illegal gangbangers are so much more proficient spellers in their native language than our own homegrown thugs are in American English...RIIIGHT!

So, it may not be MS-13 because the spelling is wrong? Goodness, I hope that guy's security detail is smarter than he is (and that he by now has a security detail), because if his litmus test for 'authentic' gangsters is proper spelling then he will be getting a very rude and brutal surprise soon. I doubt gangsters are exactly profecient at diction in the first place. Also, born and bred Americans and Britons have some of the worst spelling when it comes to proper American and Queen's English respectively. At times third grade level.
This guy is already dead. He just doesn't know it yet. (That is, if he continues basing his analysis of the actual threat level on proper spelling, then he is taking too big a risk. He should err on the side of caution. If it is MS-13, and they get a hold of him, he'll be like that goat. Starting with the scrotum)
