Sen. Mark Obenshain endorses Ken Cuccinelli for Atty. General

My Endorsement

February 27, 2009

Dear xxxxxx,

As we approach the end of the General Assembly Session, it is now time to turn our attention to the races for statewide office and for the House of Delegates. While we must elect Bob McDonnell and Bill Bolling as Governor and Lt. Governor, it is also critical that we elect another Republican as Attorney General.

Today I am writing to ask you to support Ken Cuccinelli's campaign for Attorney General by becoming a delegate for Ken to the Republican Convention on May 30th in Richmond. Please set that date aside on your calendar.

I have endorsed Ken in his race for Attorney General because he is the right candidate – at the right time – for Virginia and our Republican Party.

Ken is my colleague, seatmate and friend in the Virginia Senate. He is a true conservative leader who never fails to support a just cause that needs his help.

While others talk about their beliefs, Ken Cuccinelli is the only candidate with an actual record of actually voting and fighting for our shared conservative values. Ken has been a Senate leader on issues of Public Safety, Life and Family, Taxes and Smaller Government, The Second Amendment and Property Rights. No one is better suited to tackling the issues which face the Attorney General's office than Ken.

After our stinging defeat in November, many of us believe that it is more important than ever that we nominate proven conservatives to carry our party's banner.

Ken Cuccinelli has the record, the background, and the experience to make an ideal Attorney General for our Commonwealth – but he needs your help.

Please sign up today to become a delegate for Ken. Just get one of the filing forms and return it to Ken's campaign and you'll be set to attend the convention! The filing deadlines are all coming up fast; some have already passed. To learn more about Ken or to find other ways you can help, visit his website at www.cuccinelli.com.

The filing forms for all of the local GOP units will be available at the RPV website at www.rpv.org, so please check back often or just let Ken's campaign know if you're willing to attend the convention to nominate Ken. Remember, there isn't a moment to lose. Please download your form right now!

Also, please contact Ken's campaign today about getting involved. He has a long history of running grassroots campaigns, and that takes people like you to succeed!

If you have any questions about Ken's values or how to sign up to be a delegate, contact Noah Wall on Ken's campaign at (703) 766-0635 or via email at noah@cuccinelli.com.

Mark Obenshain Virginia State Senator

P.S. Please go to www.cuccinelli.com to learn more about Ken today. Please fill out a delegate filing form today and sign up to be a delegate for State Senator Ken Cuccinelli's bid for Attorney General. I'll see you at the convention!

I have met the man and I am doing every thing I can to get him elected.
He talks the talk and walks the walk.
I am pro life and pro second ammendment and he has a 100% rating on both.
