I remember Pres. Bush trying to explain about stem cells. Laura Bush even went on Larry King and tried, but that blockhead can’t understand anything. Adult stem cells hold the same promise of cures as embryonic ones do. It disgusts me how the media glazes over that. Obama is still campaigning against Bush.
Didn’t Billy Boy originally sign this order and Bush extended it?
“Plante stated that the boys parents: believe their sons chance of survival ended when President George W. Bush signed an executive order in August, 2001, banning the federal government from funding embryonic stem cell research.
I am betting that these parents have voted all of their lives for politicians who are pro-abortion. Their votes have ended the chance of survival for millions and millions of human beings. Karma can be a wonderful thing.
President Bush did not ban embryonic stem cell research. He limited government funds for it. Until 0bama, President Bush allowed more federal money to go into stem cell research than anybody else.
Besides, if there was true promise in it, the pharmaceutical companies would be plowing millions of their own research dollars into embryonic stem cell research. It is just plain wrong to create embryos for the purpose of killing them in research. Adult stem cells have had great promise and that is where research should go.
