Statement from the ANSWER Coalition:
We are organizing a Mass March on the Pentagon on Saturday, March 21, and it is important that you and your family, friends, co-workers and fellow students put on your marching shoes that day. People are coming from all over the country.
Some background on the A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition...
Behind the Placards
The odd and troubling origins of todays anti-war movement
David Corn, November 07, 2002
"Officially, the organizer of the Washington demonstration was International ANSWER (Act Now to Stop War & End Racism). But ANSWER is run by WWP [Workers World Party] activists, to such an extent that it seems fair to dub it a WWP front. Several key ANSWER officials -- including spokesperson Brian Becker -- are WWP members. Many local offices for ANSWERs protest were housed in WWP offices. Earlier this year, when ANSWER conducted a press briefing, at least five of the 13 speakers were WWP activists. They were each identified, though, in other ways, including as members of the International Action Center.
The IAC [International Action Center], another WWP offshoot, was a key partner with ANSWER in promoting the protest. It was founded by Ramsey Clark, attorney general for President Lyndon Johnson in the 1960s."
Note: A.N.S.W.E.R. is now officially controlled by the Party for Socialism and Liberation. They are an offshoot of Workers World Party. The David Corn article above is from 2002.-etl

With his leadership [Kim Il Sung], the Korean people defeated the Japanese colonial occupation and soon after brought about the first defeat of the U.S. imperialist military machine. ...

The photo comes from the ("We are proud to have known Kim Il Sung as a great leader and a comrade in the international communist movement. ...") Workers World Party website.
Also appearing at this "peace" rally with the demonRat Charlie Rangel, now chairman of The House Ways and Means Committee, were Saddam Hussein lawyer, Ramsey Clark and convicted terrorist enabler/attorney, Lynne Stewart. Clark, with Workers World Party, started up that other 'peace' group, A.N.S.W.E.R. Clark also heads the International Action Center and was actually once Attorney General of the United States under democrat LBJ. -etl

From David Horowitz's
PROFILE: PARTY FOR SOCIALISM AND LIBERATION (PSL)
* Marxist-Leninist antiwar group that calls for revolution in the United States
* Operates in tandem with International ANSWER
* Expressly supports anti-Israel and anti-American terrorism
The Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL) was founded in 2004, following an organizational fissure within the Marxist-Leninist Workers World Party (WWP) that resulted in three WWP member branches -- based respectively in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C -- breaking away to form their own group. Openly allied with the International ANSWER Coalition (which is intimately tied to Ramsey Clark's International Action Center), PSL has also established branches in New York City (in Harlem), Baltimore, Chicago, San Francisco, Seattle, and West Chester, Pennsylvania.
A proponent of "revolutionary Marxism," PSLs general raison detre is opposition to capitalism, which it defines as "the system in which all wealth and power is held by a tiny group of billionaires and their state," and the promotion of "socialism." The organization regards "U.S. capitalism" as the underlying cause of the war in Iraq (and all other wars) and regards "revolution" as the only viable alternative.
Though nominally an independent group, PSL mostly acts in concert with International ANSWER. A list of campaigns and events on PSLs website provides a summary of demonstrations and protests organized by ANSWER. PSL is staffed largely by ANSWER activists, among whom is PSLs leader, Brian Becker. Other PSL members include ANSWER activist Gloria La Riva, a former gubernatorial candidate in California and a longtime apologist for communist Cuba, as well as several ANSWER coordinators and organizers, among them Saul Kanowitz, Muna Coobtee, and Caneisha Mills.
PSL is a strong supporter of Fidel Castro's Cuban government and the socialist "Bolivarian Revolution" led by Hugo Chavez in Venezuela. It also holds a favorable view of Mao Zedong's Cultural Revolution in 1960s China.
“We must also act to end U.S. support for Israels ongoing war against the Palestinian people.”
Not to worry...Hussein will help...
It's a target-rich enviornment.
Sounds like some slimy, sticky, green thing you would pick out of your nose.
I plan to be there to counterprotest...
It's not an anti-war movement. They are decidedly pro-Palestinian War and also call for class war in the West (with violent rhetoric).
If we are going to defund Israel, we must also end all funding of "rebuilding" Palestinian "infrastructure". Where's the call from the Left to do that?
Protest Communism. Communism kills.
YOURS would be the peace protest.
I know that. Yet damn near everybody ignorantly (or stupidly) refers to these sorts of groups as being "anti-war", even most conservative commentators.
There is a bloodline from the Communist protests in America against going to war against Nazi Germany through the protests against the Vietname war (where they openly rallied support for the North Vietnamese Communists and waged a domestic guerilla war against the US military and US law enforcement agencies) through to the anti-Iraq/pro-Saddam movement.
Too many fellow travellers in their midst. The useful idiot housewives and college kids may not like being called Red Dupes but they’d be ignorant to not see the slogans and the Communist literature at the rallies.

The RCP calls for the armed overthrow of the U.S. government...
From the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party (revcom.us or rwor.org) :
"Create Public Opinion, Seize Power: We are preparing minds and organizing forces for the time when there is a major crack in the system, whenever it comes and wherever it comes from: an opening that makes it possible to bring the future Revolutionary Army of the Proletariat (R.A.P.) into the field and wage a revolutionary armed struggle that actually has a chance of winning.
And we have said that building our party itself is the most important part of organizing forces for revolution. This is true now, and it is true looking forward to the creation of that future R.A.P. and the waging of that armed struggle.":

Not bloody likely.
The Socialists at "Move On" began with a campaign to see that Bill Clinton was "censured", not impeached, so the nation could "move on" ("censure and move on..."). They still have that name. They never "moved on".
Seems like they need to “march” on the responsible person, the Commander-and-Chief sitting in the WH?
The march is about ending the war in Iraq, possibly so a Russia-backed Iran can eventually seize control of it. Obama swore to the nation that he will 'end' the war (not win it).
Is that Nicolas Cage in a picture?
Read the caption on whichever picture you’re referring to.
Nevermind, that’s not him. Definitely not him
Where’s McCarthy when you need him?
Libeled. Like Rush.
I don't know. Right now I think he's still in Colorado defending Wart Churchill.

Question from audience:
You mentioned a little bit ago, "Why did it take a bunch of Arabs to do what you all should have done a long time ago," that's my question.
Churchill: I'm gonna repeat that, tell me if I got that right: Why shouldn't we do something and how do you you move so they don't see you coming.
As to the first part, not a reason in the world that I could see. I can't find a single reason that you shouldn't in a principled way there may be some practical considerations, such as do you know how (laughter from audience)
you know, often these things are processes. It's not just an impulse. And certainly it's not just an event.
And the simple answer, although it probably should be more complicated, but I'm not being flip and giving the simple answer, is:
You carry the weapon. That's how they don't see it coming. You're the one...
They talk about "color blind or blind to your color." You said it yourself.
You don't send the Black Liberation Army into Wall Street to conduct an action.
You don't send the American Indian Movement into downtown Seattle to conduct an action.
Who do you send? You. Your beard shaved, your hair cut close, and wearing a banker's suit.
There's probably a whole lot more to it, you know that. But there's where you start. .."

Outlaws of America: The Weather Underground and the Politics of Solidarity (Paperback) by Dan Berger
From the New York Times, August 24, 2003
"they [the Weather Underground] employed revolutionary jargon, advocated armed struggle and black liberation and began bombing buildings, taking responsibility for at least 20 attacks. Estimates of their number ranged at times from several dozen to several hundred."
Article: Quieter Lives for 60's Militants, but Intensity of Beliefs Hasn't Faded
Here is a 4 minute video from 2006 in which Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn are asked if Ward Churchill in the late 1960s, as he claims, taught the Weathermen bomb making techniques. Ayers says with a sneaky grin: "memory is a real MF-er".

Any ideas how this will be different with BO in the Office?
The protesters will be carrying signs of both Che and a U.S. president? :)
I won’t be able to make that protest, on March 21 I will be here
I hope to meet some other florida freepers there!
So, these morons can’t count as well as being communists. The gulf war is in its 19th year.
