THE RIGHT STUFF - Rush cashes in on Democrat demonizing (Rush on a roll)

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Rush Limbaugh, the most listened to radio host in America, says recent efforts by the White House and Democrats to demonize him are actually helping his show in financial success and personal popularity.

"Revenues at the EIB Network in the first quarter of 2009 are up 13 and a half percent over first quarter revenues of 2008," Limbaugh announced this afternoon, "and at our revenue baseline, that is not an insignificant percentage or amount represented by it."

He also noted his staff had just finished an analysis of Arbitron listening data for the first few months of this year, and said the cumulative audience, meaning "total bodies" listening, was up 32 percent.

"Now when you're starting at baseline of 20 to 22 million, 32 percent is a significant number," Limbaugh said.

The conservative icon also said the McClatchy Company, the publisher which owns the Sacramento Bee among other newspapers, just conducted a national poll finding about a third of Americans have a highly favorable opinion of him.

"That makes me one of the most popular Americans in the country," Limbaugh said.

"If I have an approval rating above a third, that makes me higher than Congress, that makes me higher than lawyers, that puts me with a higher approval rate than Hollywood. Also my approval number of 33 percent is higher than Obama's numbers are going to be when his presidency is over in 2012. If my approval number is 33 percent, that's higher than Vice President Biden's I.Q."

Rush was on a roll today. If you missed it, he reported that video has surfaced of James Carville saying he hoped Pres. Bush would fail...on some morning show a few minutes before the planes crashed into the Trade Center on 9/11. The news media helpfully buried his statement so as not to make the Democrats look bad, of course.
Sean and Glen need to get hold of this and blast it over TV tonight.

Rush has more intelligence than the entire Obama WH with one arm tied behind his back.

Folks will poo poo me, but IMO Rush and Newt Gingrich are two of the most articulate, logical, and politically intelligentl spokesmen we have.

True, but Gingrich has made some mystifying comments over the last couple of years.

he’s human, he slips, I suppose. You’re still not gonna find a person more astute about American government, IMO.

Yes, and so did you, just now.

It wasn't hard, was it?

Almost anyone could have done it.

So why praise Limbaugh for it?

That’s a really good picture of Rush! I liked it when he was talking about how much he wished that his parents were still alive to see their reactions to all of this on their faces. Especially his father’s.

Glenn Beck is coming on strong and giving the dems nightmares. I just started watching Glenn on FOX and have become a regular fan of Glenn just as much as Rush.

Didn’t I hear that Glenn Beck’s show has become the most watched conservative show these days?

I’ll pay better attention.

What about the theory that this Rush storm is a political smoke screen to keep Americans from paying attention to the Democrats in Washington.
