Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden accused moderate Arab leaders of plotting with the West against Muslims and urged his followers to prepare for jihad, in a recording aired by Al Jazeera television.
"It is clear that some Arab leaders have plotted with the Zionist-crusader coalition against our [Muslim] people, these [Arab countries] the United States calls the moderate states," bin Laden said, without naming any of the leaders.

Looks like OBL just called for a jihad against Egypt (Mubarak) and Jordan (Abdullah II). ....at minimum.

OBL and AQ have accused the Saudi king, Hafiz Assad (and probably Bashar too), and Muammar Qadhafi of being apostates and “too moderate.” That’s how far off the map these people are.
They don’t like Mubarak and King Abdullah of Jordan either.

That’s my take. Also calling for more “militant” (terror) help in Iraq. Looks like OBL is getting spread a little thin. So many fronts in so many countries for him and his fellow terrorists to “liberate.”

For those that keep up with such things; has there been a credible statement released by Bin Laden in which he acknowledges Obama’s election? (which would constitute some sort of proof of his still being alive)

I suppose we knew it had to happen at some point. Question is, is it a ploy to encourage them to realign with him, an empty threat, a teaser to other nations that think like him - Iran - to step up against them, will it actually come to blows? I can't imagine that Mubarak or Abdullah want it to come to that. Not over OBL.

Many swore Adolf Hitler was alive and well living in South America till about 38 years ago. Now we know he was killed in Berlin and his skull is in Russian hands.
It is rather embarassing when you proclaim someone dead and then they make like Jack in the box and pop up.

I think 18 replies to an alleged message from OBL, the mastermind of 911, on a site I know wants him dead as much as I do, says it all.
He must be dead. And this latest message is nothing more than some sophisticated scheme devised by his cohorts to pretend he is alive.
So we have good news on at least one front. OBL is dead. The bad news is the millions spent on this voice recognition technology, is worthless.
See, I just don't believe that. I think the USA sees a need to go along with Al Qaida's "Bin Laden communiques" for some reason.
