“Those who make peaceful revolution impossible, will make violent revolution inevitable.”

One word: ACORN

I’ve been listening to the local, talk shows closely and the number of people calling in saying that they don’t see any recourse but to fight is eye-opening. I’m not talking about nut-bars but people who are speaking in a very calm, thoughtful manner.

I have noticed this. when I actually see people bandibng together in groups and self help consortiums I will be more convinced. Saying that you will fight alone is not very effective.

By the time they wake up, there will be no way to elect another Reagan.

We thought Bush43 would roll back the 8 years of Clinton abuse. Very little was done in that regard.

You are living in a fantasy world.

I’ve seen the opposite viewpoint on the “coordination” of the tea parties.

This needs to be a de-centralized movement. It needs to be led by localized leaders, and not by some central coordinating authority. Central planning is a leftist concept, not a free man’s concept.

When enough people have had enough, change will be effected through the ballot box. Therefore, if you have enough disgruntled to carry through a revolution, then revolution is not necessary. Why talk of revolution when we cannot even win a presidential election? Just wait four years and then it will be voices in on the left talking about tevolution again.

You need to read some Hayek.

Collectivism is inherently linked with arbitrary authoritarianism.

Do you think we should be doing so much to support the arbitrary authoritarianism of the collectivist state of Israel?

Hypothetically speaking, does one man, alone in his beliefs that are moral and true, do he not constitute an "Army" in God's eye. What does numbers have to do with it?

From what I gather from Orthodox Jews, Israel has the same problem with rabid socialism/communism as we do...so your premise is a little sloppy.

With all due respect, you are ignoring some basic facts. Those facts make the rest of your post after what I bolded irrelevant.

The other side cheats, we don't. We won't fix elections by registering dead people and letting them vote; carting people to multiple polling places; etc...

We respect the process and believe it will work. (as, clearly, do you)

They know that their ideas are bankrupt and therefore do not respect the process, believing that "by any means necessary" applies to their politics and candidates.

Clearly you are ignoring those facts when you posit that utimately change will be effected at the ballot box. The constitutional positions and candidates will never win out when those very precepts prevent us from fighting fire with fire.

I'd rather fight a war and kill the socialists then stuff a ballot box and I bet you would too if those were the only two choices available to you.

They would rather stuff and ballot box to enslave me than to just kill me outright as they need my income to feed the worthless non-working whose votes they are purchasing.

Absolutely. Collectivism DOES work in one specific case - in a homogeneous society with shared values across the society. The Palis just want to invade this society because they see that it is so much more successful than their own.

The Bible calls for collectivism among Christians. Notice the referece to “of one heart and soul”:

Acts 4:32 Now the full number of those who believed were of one heart and soul, and no one said that any of the things that belonged to him was his own, but they had everything in common.

It will not work, though, when people have individual goals.

The goals of the collective inherently will collide with the goals of the individual, making arbitrary, deadly, coercive force necessary.

And as far as General Lee, always a gentlemen - and did not care for a fight, though certainly did not shy away from one when called for.

Lee certainly did not want secession. He only fought for Virginia. Too bad there were not more prudent Lees in the South of 1860-61 and less of the secessionist wild men.

"... I wish to live under no other government, and there is no sacrifice I am not ready to make for the preservation of the Union save that of honour. If a disruption takes place, I shall go back in sorrow to my people and share the misery of my native state, and save in her defence there will be one soldier less in the world than now. I wish for no other flag than the 'Star spangled banner' and no other air than 'Hail Columbia.' I still hope that the wisdom and patriotism of the nation will yet save it. "

That is why net tax receivers should not be voters. Those who pay the tab should set the rules.

"...secessionist wild men."

What is your definition of a "wild man"? Do you think all free men need a leash? Be very careful with this answer my friend, it will be very telling.

“They will not allow us just to “live and let live” - it’s antithetical to their ideology.”

We are a bur under their saddle and a thorn in their side.

Our very existence alone reveals their iniquity.

Darkness isn’t darkness unless it is in contrast to light.
