the seemingly endless list of Congressional tax cheats

According to Bloomberg, yet another Congressman is cheating on his state property taxes. Representative Fortney H. "Pete" Stark, Jr. the second-ranking Democrat on the Ways and Means Committee, has been claiming as his primary residence a waterfront home in Maryland for purposes of that state's property tax credit.

Homeowners in Maryland qualify for the tax credit for residences they use "for the legal purposes of voting, obtaining a driver's license, and filing income tax returns," according to the Maryland Assessment Procedures Manual.

Bloomberg reports that Stark, age 77 is registered to vote in California's 13th congressional district using the address of is wife's parents. Both Stark and his wife also hold California driver's licenses.

When are Republicans going to make an issue of this???

No kidding. They should be hammering this every day. This should be bringing up the disconnect between the Democrats (w/ their tax cheating, military jet flying, high on the hog ways) and the average American.

personally, i believe the top 10% of tax earners that pay 88% of all taxes are mostly republicans. so it’s just a financial attack on their political enemies.

No...go to work tomorrow, request a new form and change your dependents to 99, thus guaranteeing you will get 99 percent of your check back. Calculate what you need to put into the bank in order to pay your taxes come tax day. In other words, don't let them take a 0% interest loan from you every month so they can put it into their account that collects interest that they obviously don't have to pay taxes on.

Put the money they couldn't take in an account and pay taxes accordingly when tax day comes as well as paying taxes on any interest you accrue on YOUR money.

The IRS and this Government is a behemoth that generates not one dollar of income. They steal it from me and you and demand others be held accountable. If every working American was to do this, the IRS and the government would have nothing to run on. They would have to let people go because there would be no money to pay state and federal government paid employees, which are all paid by TAXPAYER DOLLARS!!!

STOP giving the government a 0% APR loan so that they can use it to destroy you, me and the foundations of this country.
