Whose Mr. Magoo?

I assume you mean "who's."

Mr. Magoo was a beloved nearsighted curmudgeon cartoon who refused to acknowledge his sight problem and, as a result, had all kids of strange adventures.

He also starred in arguably the best version of A Christmas Carol since Alistair Sim.

Quincy Magoo (or simply Mr. Magoo) is a cartoon character created at the UPA animation studio in 1949. Voiced by Jim Backus (also famed in popular culture for his role as Thurston Howell III in the 1960s sitcom Gilligan's Island), Quincy Magoo is a wealthy, short-statured retiree who gets into a series of sticky situations as a result of his nearsightedness, or myopia, compounded by his stubborn refusal to admit the problem. Affected people (or animals) consequently tend to think that he is a lunatic, rather than just being nearsighted. In later cartoons he is also an actor, and generally a competent one except for his visual impairment.

I loved Mr. Magoo as a kid, especially his Chinese house boy Cholley! “Ok Bloss”!

He looked like this:

But his voice was done by:

Jim Backus...if you're into vintage TV, he was the judge/husband on "I Married Joan" in the 50's and later on "Gilligan's Island".

On a “Monk” tv episode they talked about Mr. Magoo. My kids were asking about him so I searched youtube. Lots of fun stuff - even my kids enjoyed it. Some of the old stuff they find boring - but not Mr. Magoo. (They also love the old silent movies!)

Whose Mr. Magoo?

Wow, you get "newbie" a whole different spin.
Poor young'un. You missed the good life before politically correct and educational cartoons, and before Jim Bacchus played Thurston Howell III on "Gilligan's Island".

... if you just said, "Who? Who? and What?" -- get away from me.

;-)
