Saul's Rules Backfire (Vanity)

Posted on 03/20/2009 10:02:38 AM PDT by Sneakyuser

You remember this passage:

Rule 11: Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it. Don’t try to attack abstract corporations or bureaucracies. Identify a responsible individual. Ignore attempts to shift or spread the blame.

Well, during the campaign and the first sixty days since, the POTUS's image has only been damaged by memorable individuals (with lots of video available for broadcast):

Rev. Wright

William Ayers

AIG hearings clips

Barney Frank

Chris Dodd

And of course the Pres and his minions's back and forth

Add the frequent pop-ups of Biden, Pelosi and Reid and you have convinced the likes of CNN, the NY Times and other LEFTIST organs to actually report this and, gasp..., ask follow-up questions !

Hmmm...

In theory, there’s no difference between theory and practice.

But in practice, there is.

Well those rules work in both directions. Something Zero wasn't smart enuff to understand I guess. Funny for someone who was supposed to be so smart to actually be so stupid.

The trouble with socialism and communism as viable government entities is that they eventually go broke because they just cannot sustain that style of government over a seriously long period of time and eventually they collapse under their own weight. That is why the free market capitalistic society of America has withstood everything up to now.

He's used to the Republicans' typical reaction of slobbering loyalty to their enemies when they promise to stop hitting the Republicans quite so hard in the future.

We need more crazed chimps in the GOP leadership and fewer whipped curs.

I guess, too, that people just get tired of essentially working for the government six months of the year by the time they pay all the taxes that are thrown at them. When it becomes eight or nine months, things really will unravel.

The point is that Alinsky’s Rules work for both sides of the political spectrum.

If we actually, intentionally, applied them more often, we would be in charge.

People who only play defense are called Losers.

The culmination of Alinsky's Rules are that the user of the Rules gets enough power to begin murdering his critics with impunity. The Rules rely on the fact that the ones who are being attacked won't resort to murder.

We're not quite there yet, but the Obamites are working on it.

Not having read any Saul Alinsky my impression of “Alinsky Rules” is that they are political guerilla tactics. They are completely inappropriate for governance (... unless we have entered the “permanent revolution” state of affairs.)

You're exactly right.

I extrapolated the "murder" business from the sort of political types the Rules appeal to.

I’m wondering which administration official is going to step-up & take the heat when the first AIG executive gets assaulted on the street? Include Barney Frank in that, too. They’re playing with matches.

That's okay. Now we have the partnership of Obama and Ahmadinejad.

They need a scapegoat for their own crimes, and a little blood for the masses would suit them just fine, wouldn’t it?.
