With the events that have transpired over the last 58 days—since Obama and his adherents commandeered the US presidency—fear is now becoming the order of each and every day for many of We-the-People. ....... ....has led me to believe that both Congress and Obama are in the process of purposefully creating conditions that will lead to a revolution by We-the-People so that it and Obama can affect Martial Law and once and for all forcibly suppress the American people

It is not treasonous to discuss the dividing up of the USA. It is real possibility and NEEDS to be discussed. It is wise and prudent to do so. It happened once, it could happen again. Last time there were two major issues, states rights and slavery. Now the two sides disagree about everything. There is really very little holding things together IMHO. The real question is can a POSSIBLE division be done in a humane and peaceful way. Discussing that is better than shooting at each other, don't you think?

LOL, You honestly think someone or some group of military are gonna declare the government their enemy? The same gov’t that feeds their families and provides ammunition for them? So who would assume that role in your scenario? I still vote for surround them and turn on the vise grip of voter power.

Over the past fifty years, liberals have made promises to take care of everyone who supported them. They’ve promised social security, medicare, and prescription drugs to the baby boomers. They promised exorbitant retirement packages to the teachers, the federal workers, and to the high ranking military. They promised cradle to the grave subsistence to the poverty stricken with welfare, food stamps, housing assistance, etc. etc. etc.
These “promises” total over 57 TRILLION dollars. The baby boomers are almost ready to start retiring in massive numbers. They want their goodies. The federal workforce, along with the teachers and police are starting to retire in large numbers as they’ve put in their time as well. They want their goodies. Same for the military, etc. etc. The poverty folks are falling further behind and they will be making their continued demands.
If you are the United States government and are FLAT BROKE, how do you handle this situation? You can’t pay your bills. You can’t let the ones you’ve promised so much to find out it was all just a scam, at least if you are a current office holder. There is ONLY ONE SOLUTION. You anger the masses to the point of breaking up the country into separate political entities. Doing this means your day of reckoning NEVER arrives. You don’t ever have to show your hand. You simply allow history to change the landscape politically as you melt back into whichever society emerges. That 57 trillion dollar turd NEVER hits the fan. Knowing the end is near so to speak, steal as much “future” wealth as you can and take care of your buddies on Wall Street before you leave office (Bush), and take care of your buddies as you (Obama) wreck the nation into the disarray that will bring about this “change” everyone thought they were voting for.
But what you wrote strikes me as similar to what the still-rational Germans must've been thinking/hoping in, say, '35 or '36 ?

As a Navy veteran, I cannot see anytime soon where our sons, brothers, nephews, fathers or grandsons, will turn against their families or friends and fire upon us. And I sincerely doubt whether illegal orders to disarm civilians will be carried out.
We have a military of volunteers that is, at its core, a civilian-based military. They will not fire upon their own.
Call me paranoid but I’ve wondered the same thing. The problem with martial law is that it relies on the military, and at the end of the day, the military is made up of We the People too. I don’t know that Obamateur could count on them to take up arms against their own countrymen.

Reminder: It has been done before. They would simply declare the patriots “combatants” or “insurrectionists” and force the USAF and every other service member to choose. When I took the oath it was “enemies, both foreign and domestic”. Simply declaring patriots domestic enemies would allow the US military to “fire at will”. Remember Waco? If the government declares a group as domestic enemies, swat teams will shoot first and ask questions later.
How does the federal government “force” the USAF to fire on fellow Americans? As for your “oath”, is it ever possible for members of the federal government to be the “enemies” against whom the USAF is to protect the People? I’m sure this is not your intention, but your comment above gives the impression that the USAF consists of mindless drones. I hope our American soldiers and sailors are able to identify this countries domestic enemies.

The situation is obviously not good, but take heart, I believe that God holds America close to His heart, and will protect you from ultimate harm. Obama will be revealed for what he really is, and so will those around him. A partial reversal will come with the 2010 elections. After that, it will be a tough struggle but if the conservative movement stays together and backs one party and one candidate, Obama and much of this nightmare will be gone in 2012.
And if that doesn’t work, perhaps it will be time for Jesus to return. Whatever it takes, God will protect America. But punishment may fall on some, those who have turned away from His word, on such as those, vast punishment may fall.
These are momentous times. Don’t lose your nerve, fight to the end.

When I took the oath it was to defend the constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. That was almost 30 years ago so it may have changed.
According to my oath, that I took before God, the current administration are usurpers of the constitution and therefore domestic enemies. I can bet that many in the armed forces see it the same way.
More likely to turn out like the French Revolution.

I disagree; the oath was to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. By his violation of the Constitution several times a day at this point Obama has made himself the enemy. The military personnel know this and would not follow his illegal orders. This, my friends is why he wants a “Domestic Security Force” as strong and well funded as the military. This is what should be scaring the hell out of all of us. His civilian force would not hesitate to fire at will.

He (Grassley I think) was quoting a letter from a constituent. Grassley himself called for the AIG bigshots to commit ritual suicide Japanese style, which is perhaps a slightly lower level of hatred but certainly does not invalidate your point.
They certainly are provoking the American People. I don’t think they KNOW what kind of wrath We-The-People are capable of. Either that, or they think they’ve got all that figured out and all the authority and firepower they need to quell any “dust-ups” a few of us “Militia” members and “domestic terrorists.”
