Obama plans huge pledge drive for his policies (emails & door-to-door)

President Obama's appearance on "The Tonight Show" - the first ever for a sitting chief executive - was only a small part of the president's so-called permanent campaign. A bigger move comes Saturday, when Obama will ask 13 million people on his campaign e-mail list to go door-to-door to raise support for his agenda.

The Pledge Project Canvass is an unprecedented effort by a president to reach beyond Congress and tap grassroots supporters for help. Volunteers recruited online by Obama's Organizing for America, a post-election group, will ask citizens to sign a pledge in support of the president's policies on energy, health care and education.

Those who pledge will be asked for their e-mail addresses so the Obama-ites can keep in touch.

"This is just the beginning for us," said Jeremy Bird, deputy national director of Organizing for America, in an online video to Obama supporters this week. "The establishment in Washington won't welcome this new direction easily. We can't let this plan be debated solely behind closed doors in Washington, D.C."

I figure I'll wear my Club Gito T-shirt and Have Rush blasting on Ipod if they come to my door. I imagine the look on their face would be like a Vampire looking at Sunlight! LOL

Not going to work. What are they going to say when I confront them with the facts?

Bottom line? We are basically going into another campaign episode....barely sixty days into this period. It used to be that we got ourselves all upset for eight brief months and then settled back for three years of inactivity (up until the 1990s).

Then we started to get into this two year cycle....where we got all hyper for eight months, and then relaxed for 14 months.

And now? We are basically under some 24-hour a day campaign cycle....seven days a week....365 days a year. Frankly...it’s a burn-out schedule. Both parties will destroy themselves within five years. I don’t see this as being postive...and for a president to stand there and act like some campaign device for four years straight....why even be president...just be candidate in running and be happy about this. You don’t even need to travel overseas...just keep the bus warmed up and make bus stops in Topeka or Iowa every ten days to talk about the “campaign that never ends”.

Invite them in, politely give them some 1)history 2)statistics 3)some econ reality and 4) give them a card to sign support for local Repub for office — hey you might get one.

(Read your Alinsky — get with it — it’s do or die, one at a time!)

This will not work. Getting the kids to get out of the basement and vote once in four years is one thing. But to think these kids are going to put down their bongs, step away from the keyboards, and pound the pavement, it just isn’t going to happen. Not only that but if they did knock on doors they will get a real taste of what people think of the chosen one.

I checked the Web site. Seems only five (5) people have signed up for the event in my neighborhood. That's a lot of territory to cover.

And on such a lovely spring day!

They could be doing better things...

"He desperately wants to hide responsibility for his actions behind popularism. "

He might also want a comprehensive list of the names and addresses of those who don't support him....hummmmmmm.

Looks as though is a meeting tomorrow at someones house for 4 hours. 22 people have signed up. This is a college town/city though and already a wing bat whacked away at our door momentarily this election. So I do expect that same person to stop by and spew the Kool-Aid. I am sure it will be red and dripping off the lips this time like blood as she keeps spewing and mouthing the robots TOTUS words.

Either way she'll have 10 seconds or less before we shut the door and Freep about it :-D. Bring the Kool-Aid bots on. One question is this part of what ACORN was paid for. Will they be going door to door on our dime like they will for the census (plus also getting paid as census workers?). Guess it pays to be a crook after all sadly.

Cybercollectivization , join the new American Kolkoz,
bring your neighbors, pledge your friends...

This is how it started, just wait till the neighborhood
“meetings”.
Yes, those are in the mix for later, coming soon to a library or civic center near you.
Stand before your neighbors and take the pledge!
You want the best for your children, you want to help
Obama save the nation, or are you a reactionary, a “richer”
a capitalist exploiter, an enemy of the state?

Think it can’t happen? It already is, class warfare
to divide the masses, largess from the state, it’s all
been done before and with the same horrific results.
The socialists believe they can win this, either through
direct action or by goading an unready populace into revolt.
Chaos works for them just as good as stealth and gile.

American thought and ideals face a time of testing, this
from an internal parasitic enemy the likes of which we
have not had to face in our history.

May Divine Providence favor us when we stand as free men.

"13 million people on his campaign e-mail list to go door-to-door"

This is the beginning of some really scary stuff.

Brownshirts. Civilian Security Force. Card Check. Fascism.

The people who voted for this weren't just stupid. This is much worse than stupid.

Othugo’s little minion pervs will not be able to drown out the TEA PARTIES. They are more interested in getting un-educated, mis-represented illegal aliens to sign his crummy forms. All they want is a NAME and ADDRESS and then throw it back to ACORN or some other fraudulent org for their own conniving purposes. It’s just a game for Othugo to keep his people on their toes.

If you see any, ask them if they are getting paid to do this exercise in futility.

No one in the right mind would provide a name, address and phone #, just my humble opinion.
