4 cops shot, suspect dead after Calif. traffic stop
Police say suspect behind two separate shootings involving officers
OAKLAND, Calif. - Four officers were in critical condition and a suspect dead on Saturday after gunfire at a traffic stop led to a massive manhunt that ended in a shootout, police said.
Two officers were shot in the first incident just after 1 p.m. after they stopped the suspect's vehicle in east Oakland, said Oakland police spokesman Jeff Thomason.
The suspect fled the scene on foot into a nearby neighborhood, police said, leading to an intense manhunt by dozens of Oakland police, California Highway Patrol officers and Alameda County sheriff deputies.
Streets were roped off and an entire area of east Oakland shut to traffic.

Through all the years I was there, the thought continued to come to me, louder, and louder, that the anti-police libbies will come to be "policed" by the gangs. And they do not recognize their own lives and well-being are meaningless to gangs. A thugogracy, created by liberals, run by liberals, to to enslave liberals. And so it incrementally comes to pass.

I want to read about the 2nd incident, and see what type of weapon was used, the ranges, and where he was aiming.
Somebody who always practices head shots is VERY dangerous if he’s a good shot. There are people who can shoot head sized targets at up to 50 feet faster than most people can shoot torsos. And I am dead serious about that. Some tactical units I could mention don’t even practice the old “2-1” any more, they consider it a waste of time with microseconds count and there are multiple bad guy shooter. They go right for the head from the first shot. And they don’t miss.
Obviously the Rat media is going to try to blame everything except the slimebag for the shooting. They will blame the BART shooting, the cops who tried to stop the guy (They should have negotiated, says the Dim media), the perp’s childhood (He was spanked too many times, was teased at school, and he never ate at McD’s enough), and of course, they will blame the gun.
If this is true it was just sheer bad luck:

If he had an AK, SKS etc, and he just started shooting rapid fire, he must have missed their hard plates a few times. Maybe he got of ten shots, and 3 or 4 made contact off the plates. That’s my guess. We’ll see. Thanks for the info.

A police funeral is a very sad thing. This one is going to be devastating. My prayers for the families of all of the officers who lost their lives.
Charlie Crist has the character to (quietly) attend all funerals of fallen office in our state and say something comforting. While he does plenty with which I disagree, the man does have his good points. I sure hope that Gov S. will do that for these families. They need every prayer and bit of comfort that can be offered.
If I were a police officer in that area I would refuse to enter it. Let them police themselves.
But we’re all so much *safer* now that such things aren’t allowable under societal norms. < /s>
Just heard on FNC he used handgun on two motorcycle cops and then went to place where he knew he had a rifle and that is what he used on 3 other SWAT cops he hit, one of which died as well as the 2 traffic cops.......
Pound of flesh maybe.....
Our folks don’t shoot minute of torso no more either......I think that is SOP now for CAT, SWAT, SRT’s etc and spec ops of course for dynamic entry dance of death from a stack.
