Alaska and Florida consider bans on bestiality Recent cases prompt states to consider outlawing sex with animals
March. 21, 2009 JUNEAU, Alaska - It's a subject that can cause nervous snickering, a little uneasiness and even a few bad jokes.
But many in the southeast Alaska community of Klawock, population 800, weren't laughing last April after a 26-year-old registered sex offender was accused of molesting a local family's pet dog.
The man was spotted by a local woman coaxing the Labrador retriever into the woods near a ball field. There he allegedly tied it to a tree, taped its muzzle shut with duct tape and had sex with it, witnesses told police at the time.
The man had been twice convicted of raping a young boy and more recently had served probation for assault after lunging at a child. While the incident with the dog was reported to the police, Klawock Mayor Don Marvin said nothing happened for two days while fearful parents escorted their children home from school.
"When this incident happened, we had a community that was scared," Marvin said.
Because Alaska has no law against such an attack, Ketchikan District Attorney James Scott eventually charged the man with two counts of criminal mischief, which was later changed to a theft charge.
In requesting a $10,000 bail, Scott told the court that the state was concerned that if a small child had been available and unattended that day, "the small child would have been found taped (and) tied in the woods."

The same is happening in government schools. The incidence of child rape (male and female teachers, male and female students) is outrageous. But, because it’s government-run, there’s a conspiracy of silence.

I cringe to think of just how much deeper into depravity our society will sink.

It isn’t just sickos in Fla and Alaska,
Last year some guy died from having sex with a horse in either Oregon or Washington.
He was the receiver and it tore apart his insides.
Florida’s tourism industry is doing poorly and now you want to quash those sick freaks from coming here to do our barn yard animals?

And here we get to the crux of the problem. Our system of law has always been buttressed by the moral code instilled by a belief in Judeo-Christian principals. I believe that their is a conscious effort afoot to de-link law from morals which will surely coarsen the culture and lead us one step closer to Gomorrah.

All this by age 26 and still out on the street. This is the real story and it's thrown in there so matter-of-factly. Sure he's a convicted pedophile out on the loose but that's not really news, but the dog angle, now that's a story! The government has given up on protecting children and is now just trying to save the pets.
I think that even those nitwits know the difference between consenting adults and animals.

Men, women, horses, dogs, mummies, life-sized dolls, birds, bees, flowers, and classic automobiles. Everybody and everything is entitled to officially get married with full federal and state benefits.
I ask you: Who are we to separate them from their dearly beloved? Who are we to judge?

“Consider” bans on bestiality? I just would like to know what the arguments are for the pro side of bestiality.
I’m certainly not against banning bestiality, but I have to ask: How does sodomizing a dog NOT fall under animal cruelty laws?
