Yeah, then the Government can legitimately say the Newspapers are all working for them! They are already doing it, now they will be able to talk about it in the open!

So they can throw their trash in my driveway at an even cheaper cost to them. I don't even pull the Galveston News out of the plastic bag, just strait to to the garbage can. On the good side though it gives my lab something to retrieve.

Newspapers that accept non-profit status would not be allowed to endorse candidates, but they could cover political news just as they do now, Cardin said.

The punch line to this joke.

There is one rule that they cannot announce any support of a political candidate - of course all the stories can.

Government could then threaten reviews of organizations 501(c)(3) status.

well if NEWSPAPERS can endorse candidates and be nonprofit then ANY non profit should be equally unchained.

I’m no tax genius here, but if you’re losing money, you don’t pay taxes anyway. What good does tax exempt status do for them?

The non-profit status is the same that public radio and television have now.

Thereby solidifying CPB's position for all eternity.

Hey, we have a Nationalized banking system and will soon have a Government run automotive manufacturing industry...why not have Government run newspapers? They're all in the tank for the Left anyway and with elections corrupted beyond reason and the Census being diddled with and a permanent 51% majority voting block consisting of Welfare recipients, the Dems will be in power for ever.

We're done. Stick a fork in the USA. The oven timer just went off.

Start looking for good deals on houses in the Bahamas. This country ain't gonna be fit to live in anymore.

When does Rush Limbaugh become tax exempt? He’s done far more service to the country!

No. We are throwing it away because it’s written by traitors.... for traitors.

There is no longer news in newspapers.

Newspapers perform a public service for democracy and should be allowed to operate as tax-exempt non-profits, U.S. Sen. Benjamin Cardin, D.-Md., proposed Tuesday.

Rush Limbaugh's radio show has done more for democracy by giving some on the Right "equal time" to Big Media's Democrat controlled monopoly on "the news".
