It reminds me of once watching a hockey coach motivate a bunch of 10 year-olds. I thought he was being needlessly cruel and abusive until I saw the result. A bunch of listless kids began to shift around nervously, then started hitting the ice with their sticks, and by the time he was trough, those kids could have taken on anyone in the NHL. I never really understood coaching until I saw that.
